“We enjoyed our stay in Sorano immensely. Our one disappointment was that we learned upon our arrival the hotel restaurant had closed for the season. Thay was one of the things we were looking forward to. Our tour of the underground was also canceled due to no guide available. A small amount of money gone with the booking but still a disappointment. I do recommend the hotel for its history and ambience. It is a great jumping off point for exploring the town.”

“A very down to earth place. Prices are reasonable at €40 for two sunbeds an umbrella and two shower tokens. These are for sunbeds on the grass vs. €30 on the actual beach. Say half a bar that's a first time sandwiches. The staff are extremely helpful and compassionate (always offering help as I am using a cane -recovering from an injury). The little bay is quite nice and the water is pretty shallow. They offe a safe for your valuables that locks wirelessly with a water proof bracelet - a very convenient touch. It fills up quickly so make sure you reserve. The parking is €10 for the day and there's a shuttle Van with a wonderful driver, who speaks fluent English. Excellent coffee!!”

“Staff are very friendly and helpful, rooms are clean, very well decorated and nicely furnished, air con in every room. We had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms even though I think we only paid for a single. Breakfast was well worth getting from their restraunt and also the food in the evening was very good, possibly the best swordfish I've ever had. Travelled via Pisa airport, took the train from Central Pisa Station to Grosseto, trains are a great way to get around Italy IMO, then was a quick taxi to Fattoria San Lorenzo. We did not hire a car as didn't feel comfortable using a left hand drive and the nearest shop is about 2km down the road, and most people here had a car to explore the surround areas. Who I think is the owner kindly lent us a bike to go to the shops twice and even offered to give us a lift (which we declined as the bikes were more than enough) There are 3 sites called Fattoria San Lorenzo within a 30 minute walk, pictures on each are sometimes assigned to the wrong site Thank you for our stay :)”

“We booked an ocean view room and we did have a beautiful view across the bay. The staff was welcoming and the room was very clean. There was free parking right behind the hotel which was a big plus as was the included breakfast. As you’ll see in the picture, the main road through town runs in front of the hotel. Thankfully night time traffic was minimal so we did not get a lot of road noise. Walls are a bit thin so we did hear our neighbors, not sure if they were in their room or out on the adjoining balcony but again this did not last long. Beds were very firm which wasn’t to our liking, but may be to others. Food at the restaurant was very good and reasonably priced although many of the items on the lunch menu weren’t available. We did not use the beach, but it seemed to be a big draw for many people.”

“Right by the private beach. There are two swimming pools on has some jets and is a very odd shape and the other is more like a normal pool. The pools weren’t the warmest but a great way to get out of the heat. The villas were very nice with air conditioning in every room the kitchen and bathroom were a bit cramped but very functional.”

“We were on VBT Trip and this was our final 3 days. Delightful Inn, Great Staff including Mari and Joseph were always helpful. We decided to stay an extra night before leaving to Florence...Super quiet last night (without our Biking Group).. the Pool is awesome also... They prepared a nice "picnic" dinner and we enjoyed around sunset... I would always recommend this beautiful and well managed Inn for your travels”

The main issue was a worn and tired building. Breakfast okay. Hard for vegetarian which I understand. But staff was unwelcoming and rude. Especially the man at the breakfast area on Sunday 22 October. He acted like it was an inconvenience to him to make a latte. I was very surprised by the service and I’m not a ‘fussy’ guest! “Small hotel in a good position for visiting the Argentario area, developed around a lovely swimming pool. Well-kept lawn and sunbeds available to customers. Good breakfast with artisanal products, such as tarts and biscuits. There is a good restaurant attached to the hotel, where unfortunately we were only able to dine on the first evening, because it closed from October 1st. Friendly staff, good room cleaning. For a surcharge of 10 euros per day our dog was also accommodated, upon arrival they made us find a set of bowls for her in the room. We needed to leave early by one day and the management kindly did not charge us for the last night and applied a small surcharge on the others. Good value for money, definitely a good stay.”
