“We arrived with 6 kids at 11pm to what we had thought was going to be rooms that were connected. However, they gave us two rooms far apart. The sweet girl helping us was the best part. She was trying so hard but they were sold out. She saw that we had asked for joining rooms but apparently they ignored the request. Aside from us not getting into a room until an hour later (with 6 kids who were exhausted) This was the nastiest hotel I’ve stayed in. There was throw up in the stairs and outside the room across from us. It is 9:30 am and no one has cleaned it yet. Vomit just lying on the floor. I have told several employees and it has been there since last night. Again, the sweet girl who helped us needs a raise and a new job - she should not be working at such a nasty place. First and last time staying at Marriott.”

“If I could do half stars I would give this place a 3.5. The receptionist was friendly and the rooms were nice, but the bathroom was dirty. There were hairs in the tub so I had to wash it out myself before I could use it. There was also some white stuff on the floor so it looked like they hadn't fully vacuumed the room. I will say the breakfast was better than other hotels I've stayed at. Also we were only here for 1 night and the cleaning people came knocking on the door before we even checked out. I think if the cleaning people paid more attention to detail this would be a great place to stay. That being said I would stay here again in a pinch but it wouldn't be my 1st choice.”

“We visited here for a hockey tournament. There was one employee that was very pleasant and she made the experience better than the other employees at the front desk. The cleaning staff was really friendly as well. There was a employee named Moe she misled our parents on our hockey team. We had to leave early due to weather(snow storm) at home. There was a weather advisory and we needed to get home safe before they closed the thruway. We were told we would be charged a fee of $50 for canceling one of our nights because it was 1:00. She told us to get all of our stuff then check out. As soon as we came back she took a break and left the other staff to take care of us. First of all they have two elevator that take a awful long time to bring you up and down. By time we got back downstairs it was a half hour later. Now the staff that was at the desk said now it’s full price because it’s 1:30. They tried contacting Moe but she basically said that what it was full price and she never backed up her word of $50. Otherwise the rooms were clean. You heard sirens a lot! The pool was closed to be cleaned. Not sure if it ever opened. Also there is a parking ramp you need to park in that is owned by the city! It’s under construction so beware! I heard the food was a little expensive but it tasted good. Never had a chance to check out the gym. This hotel was about a 3 minute drive to Nexus hockey center. Restaurant s and shopping were about 5-10 minutes from the hotel. Lastly, There is a mini refrigerator and coffee maker in the room. There was a microwave located near the ice machine. I probably would of rated this place at least a 4 star but felt that there could of been better customer service from Moe!”

“Very convenient, the shuttle was an amazing add on. Very clean. Beyond friendly and professional staff. Bryan from front desk is a true treasure and saved my 2 day vacation. Sandstone must truly appreciate him, that man deserves a raise. Free breakfast in the mornings, waffles were amazing. Forget 5 stars, this place is truly a 12 out of 10. Thank you Bryan!”
