3715 Burr St, Bakersfield, CA 93308, United States

“Stayed there last night. This is a really great park. Very clean and convenient to the I5, but without the noise from the I5. The price was really good - we paid more the night before for a parknthat wasn't even in the same league as River Run. The reception lady was also very nice. Highly recommended.”

“One of the first Residence Inns, I'm told. It's set up like an apartment complex with separate sections of rooms. If you like staying in an apartment-style hotel, then this is the place for you. Also, if you don't like walking outside to the gym on a cold morning, try to get a room in the gym's unit. That gym is quite small. It will be packed when there is more than one person. My room, on the other hand, was very spacious and stocked with everything for a long stay. It was clean and well maintained, but it's almost time for an upgrade. Some of my microwave's buttons didn't work, and I forgot to bring it up at checkout. If you get 1221, ask them about the buttons. The hot breakfast was okay. The scrambled eggs, though real, were dry and overcooked both mornings of my stay. There are many breakfast places in the vicinity if you're tired of the free stuff.”

“Everything in the room was extremely clean and well kept. Complimentary breakfast served until 9AM- it was similar to what you would find in a cafeteria with some fresh and some prepackaged items. I enjoyed the black and green tea with sausage and potatoes. Also served eggs, biscuits and gravy, waffles, cereal, toast, bananas, yogurt. There was a shelf behind the front desk selling convenience store type items. Had a pool and hot tub, seemed to be functional though I did not get in it. Location was somewhat removed from the strip of shady motels on the other side of the freeway and felt more secure. The price was high for Bakersfield at $130, but I felt that it was worth it. NO BED BUGS. Pleasant experience overall.”

“This is the second time that I booked this property for a return trip from AZ to CA towing a trailer. I specifically booked this property because it has an on-site restaurant and I can park my vehicle and not have to drive to go eat. …”

“This place compared to other hotels wins our 5 STAR rating , the guy in the front desk is very friendly and will make sure you feel comfortable, there was also a woman who works at night she was very professional, She made breakfast, fresh eggs, susaage, bacon potatoes, we are definitely staying here again. There is a promotion starting on the 4 of Dec. If you stay 4 nights you'll get a $100 dollars visa card I think I might get it sounds like a good deal.”

“I cannot sing the praises of this property and their incredible staff enough. Hands down, this will be the local hotel I refer anyone to and I am already planning on partnering with them for a large event next year, too. Our non-profit needed to have a board meeting for our 35 or so board members. I've planned a lot of these meetings over the year and it can be a real headache to work out everything with the hotels-- but that wasn't the case at all here. Jodi was an absolute DREAM to work with and made the process so easy that I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop. I'm happy to report that it never did-- from start to finish, my time working with everyone at this property was incredible. The property itself is beautiful, clean, and modern, all while being stylishly appointed. The meeting space was fantastic and the team did a great job setting it up to our specifications (even sending photos ahead of the event to make sure it was to my liking!). Our guests reported that the rooms were incredible comfortable and clean. The breakfast was also a huge hit! The location of this property is also wonderful, with easy access to great restaurants and local amenities. One thing I really want to highlight is the incredible team that makes this property so great. From Jodi, to the team at the front desk, to the housekeeping staff- everyone was just so helpful, lovely, and wonderful. What a tremendously positive reflection on the Hyatt brand. 10/10 would absolutely recommend.”

“The view from our private balcony was breathtaking. The beautiful Kern River was steps from our room and we enjoyed the lyrical sounds of the rushing water. The interior of the room was adequate and clean. A real value for out money. We would stay there again the next time we visit.”

“So this was our first visit and it was awesome. We own a timeshare with another company but were able to use this one for a vacation get away. First off staff is super nice and really friendly. Shout out to Alicia, Martha, and I believe it’s Carissa. These are like little cabins in the mountains. Once you drive through the covered bridge you can see the property. From our room we had a great view of the little lake as well as the mountains which got snow before we checked out. Decore reminded me and the hubby of the 90’s but we didn’t mind, it was a cozy one bedroom with a fireplace in the living room and a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. It also comes with a fully equipped kitchen. If you’re looking for a whole lot to do this is not for you, but if you want to relax, unwind and enjoy nature definitely come here. Small town charm with access back to city life in about 2 1/2 hours.”

Fairfield Inn & Suites By Marriott Bakersfield Central

3540 Rosedale Hwy, Bakersfield, CA 93308, United States

“The location is good, the rooms are clean and modern. The included breakfast, while not very varied, is acceptable. I would give 4 star due to the high prices for the laundry service. The washing machine cost $3.50, the dryer was also $3.50, and a single-use detergent was $3. Not knowing whether these prices are low or high for laundry services, they seemed a bit expensive to us. Additionally, they didn't have quarters for the laundry, so we had to ask for them at local shops nearby. Another downside is that the air conditioner in the rooms is very noisy and has a strange odor. The rooms are not very soundproof.”

“My stay was for 3 nights. Overall, because of the clean & spacious rooms, I will likely stay again I just hope their pool and ice machines work. THE GOOD: Clean rooms Nice staff Walking distance to a great restaurant THE BAD: -Pool was closed after the first day and had a huge lock so no one enters. - lawn was dying! I've never seen a hotel with dead grass -zero ice machines worked -Hot tub was under construction -Key card system is a headache. You need one key to enter the building from the outside (which only worked 40% of the time, no fun when you're locked out in 100°+ weather) and another to enter your room. -It was my first time here so I didn't know there was no elevator. I kindly asked for a bottom floor due to a disability and the manager was very annoyed stating firmly that they are busy and can't go making any changes we want... (I mean, it was a yes or no question). Things worked out. -The manager had a short temper, but everyone else was super friendly -sliding doors are very old and beat up”
