“Absolutely loved our stay here, staff were lovely wine was delicious and breakfast also great for hikers. I'm vegan and they had rice milk and made me a fantastic cappuccino! View of the sunrise from our room was amazing. Only issues was that they ran out of got water so the shower was luke warm but I still had a fantastic experience.”

“We had a great time here, the dinner was amazing every evening, and the saunas are great after a long day. The ski room is also top notch. However, it’s not ski-to-door, you have to walk with the skies to reach the slopes. I was also dissapointed there was no refrigerator in the room, this is one of the most basic hotel necessities. (nor tea/cofee maker) The breakfast is not refilled, coming from 8:30 the trays remain empty and there are no vegetables at any time of the breakfast. Not a good value for money.”

“We are a family of 5 and had an amazing stay at the hotel Savoia. The location is excellent and the breakfast is everything you could think of. We arrived with no car and nothing booked and were worried we would miss out on what the Dolomites had to offer since finding a car that fit us is hard to rent unless booked in advance. We wanted a guide but they also needed a car to drive us around in. Diana and Paulo at the concierge desk were fantastic! They did some magic and took care of everything and booked a car and a guide and we were able to visit all the main sites reachable from Cortina. Not to mention they created our full itinerary. Any help we needed they were always warm and friendly. The staff at the concierge, check in, front desk, Spa and Breakfast restaurant are the nicest people we have met on the trip. Great hotel!”

“I stayed with my sister and brother-in-law in this hotel. The room is very beautiful. The staff is 10/10. The view of the mountain is breathtaking and the spa was great. My dog was treated well. The additional bed on the room was small. I would feel more respected if the bar and restaurant checks were not handed to the man on the table but put on the middle of the table instead. Men are not the only providers nowadays. It was very sweet to have water and chocolate waiting for us in the cleaned room after dinner but the good night card with details with next day weather forecast and etc. were also directed to the man in our group even though he was not the only one organising/paying the trip. I loved this place, I had a wonderful time staying at the hotel and I do want to come back and that is why I am taking the time to write this review.”

“Hands down, the best Hotel that Ive been into in Italy. Breakfast Italian Style but really good, Room, big enough with a big size TV, really clean, but the highlight of the room Was the Bathroom. The Bathroom in this hotel was the best that Ive seen in a hot in Italy. Clean, big, with a big shower. Internet quality really good, also worked from there and everything was really ok.”

“Great location,great for trekking.You can drink your favourite coffee and enjoy the views.Large car park in the front of hotel.Small prices and good quality food.I would say that hotel should have more than 2 stars,room and toilet was large ,and there was cleaning service every day including changing towels.I have assumed that hotel is running by family because thanks to them we have felt like at home.Thank you for your hospitality.”

“Fantastic location just on the Dolomiti Superski - Cortina slopes, so you can ski in and ski out in the morning (ticket office is also nearby down the slope). Building has a bar open until late for snacks and drinks. Breakfast is very good with plenty of options and the breakfast room is just overlooking the Dolomites. Plenty of parking and nice staff. Most rooms have been renovated and there is also a sauna which you can book via reception free of charge.”

“Wow! What a wonderful stay here. Certainly worth the trip. The natural beauty of the Dolimites are even better here. But as for the Orso Grigio, we'll, they made the visit special as well. The accommodations are very nice. A huge surprise was the Spa area. Another..Wow! So relaxing. Really top notch. The food was excellent here as well. A lovely dinner and a terrific continental breakfast. But the people are who make it all happen here. All of the staff very are friendly and attentive. A very, very, enjoyable stay.”

“Lovely and welcoming hotel, ideally situated in the centre of Cortina. Great bar and friendly staff. The rooms were very clean and well-stocked. The ideal combination of comfort and style, without being too expensive. Only two real drawbacks : 1) The mattresses are quite hard. That’s obviously a personal preference, but it was a bit annoying; and 2) for the last few days, a scientific breakfast conference was hosted in the hotel. This meant that the paying staying guests such as myself were evicted from the main breakfast room (which has beautiful Mountain Views), and put in a small annexe. This wasn’t fair, given that one of the main reasons for staying at the hotel is the beautiful views from the breakfast room, and we weren’t warned about this in advance. But other than that, the hotel was great - we will return next year”

“We stayed here for three days, the room was very clean, the breakfast was delicious, the owner and her family were very friendly and helped us a lot. On the third day we went to the sauna for the first time and we felt refreshed which was a great experience. In the evening we went to the restaurant for dinner, 20 euros was really worth it, we were all very full, the food was delicious and the desserts were yummy. It was Sunday when we left, we didn't understand the local transport, finally we asked the owner and learned that there was no public transport on Sunday. We wanted to take a taxi but the owner insisted on taking us to the train station which is 17km away, we were really touched and it really helped us out. Anyway, thanks for all and we will be back soon.”

“My husband, kids and I stayed at this rifugio during our Alta Via 1 hike. As soon as we got there, we had a delicious lunch (the best canederli in broth we had on the Veneto side of the trail) sitting at one of the outdoor tables and enjoyed the beautiful views of the mountains and garden. While some reviews noted the food as not being good (Italians don’t know how to do breakfast so perhaps they were referring to that?) my Italian husband and I thought it was the best food out of all the rifugios we stayed at on the Veneto side. The chef’s background is in pastries so don’t skip on dessert! A few things to note: while they provide sheets and blanket, you will need to have your own towel or purchase one at the rifugio, you must pay to take a shower, and limited outlets to plug your electronics.”

“We had an exceptional experience with hotel Menardi, after having issues getting to cortina from Venice on our check in date the hotel still honoured our two night stay starting a day late. The hotel staff were very welcoming and provided us with a local map and hiking recommended, arranged taxis for us and prepared good food in the restaurant. We were not expecting breakfast included however we were offered a great spread of both continental and cooked breakfast in the mornings. The hotel is around a 20 minute walk from the Main Street in cortina and has a cosy alpine lodge feel. Would definitely stay again.”

“Excellent service, very friendly and accommodating staff! All of them without exception and a special thanks to Yulia for her warm welcome. Clean, comfortable and tasteful room. Also had the best cappuccino in town here and delicious food. Will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone I know planning a visit to Cortina. Notes: a long walk to town but they offer a complimentary shuttle service from 8am to 8pm. No air conditioning in the room but they did bring me a fan. Drowned out noise from the cars in the street early in the morning and also cooled down the room for bedtime. Also as other reviews mentioned regarding the hot tub in the spa, it was not quite hot.”
