“Absolutely great service and location. They've renovated the lobby area. Peggy at the breakfast bar is great. Arlene and her Co worker at check in are just wonderful. Warm greeting when we checked in and always welcoming us back and asking us how was our day. Housekeeping staff are very accommodating and friendly.”

“We stayed here a couple of nights ago. It’s right off of I-95 & very close to the National Museum of the Marine Corps, which is where we had an event the next day. The lobby was clean and the front desk employees were very friendly. It smelled really good when we walked in, all the way from the lobby to the elevator to the room. I appreciate a good smelling place, but it was also very clean. I’m particular about cleanliness and when I checked the room, it was immaculate. Breakfast was good and the woman who worked in that area was very friendly as well. The only thing I would say is that the fitness room was very small. It has a treadmill, bike, elliptical, bench with dumbbells and a variety of sizes of medicine balls. It’s just a super tight fit, but I was able to make it work. Overall, this is a great hotel and I’d stay here again.”

“First off, kudos to the lady who checked me in- RayRay. She went out of her way to help me and I truly appreciated it. Someone give her a raise. She is professional and is a wonderful representative for the hotel. Rooms were very clean, the hotel was very quiet and I fell asleep the second my head hit the pillow because their beds were probably the nicest I’ve ever slept on in any hotel! Whenever I passed a maid in the halls they were friendly and asked if I needed anything. This was my second time staying there and I will definitely always book there from now on. So conveniently located with a ton of places to eat. Everything from sushi and Italian to burgers. Cold stone ice cream for dessert. And tons of shopping.”

“The room smelled a little, but we travel with an air purifier so that wasn't bad. I got in almost at 1 AM and didn't get to sleep till 2 AM. And I called in the morning to ask if I could stay until noon. And she said no and I said I was at lifetime diamond member and she said diamond, gold, doesn't matter to me. Even though I was feeling sick and didn't sleep. She did not care I had to be out by eleven.”

“While visiting friends and family between Christmas and New Year's, we found this hotel so nice that we came back to it during our trip. Nice King suites with a DOOR between the living room and the king bedroom. If we still had teens, this would have been great! Good bed, nice shower, all clean, good breakfast. I always appreciate seeing these eggs as the scrambled are too salty.”

“This is a pretty good hotel. The rooms are good size with comfy beds. The pillows were a bit small and somewhat uncomfortable. The room was clean and bug free. One of the elevators was out of order during the stay. They have a nice breakfast assortment and a good breakfast area. There is a nice patio that looks over a pond in the back. They have a small gym with some dumbbells and some cardio machines. All in all a good stay at a decent price.”

“We love Best Western hotels that include breakfast and this one did, and the breakfast was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful and we appreciated the welcome bag of goodies we received when we checked in. However, the huge bolster-like pillows were very log-like and made the bed uncomfortable for me. Please consider returning to "normal" sized pillows that are a bit more squishy!”

“Very nice hotel. The location is kind of tucked away from the main shopping area, which is great because of the nice level. The room was clean and spacious. The beds were very comfortable. Only issue was the TV size, considering most Holiday Inn Hotels I've stay in, has had bigger tvs. Other then that no other complaints, definitely will stay again.”

“So let me start with I have been here many times. Loved the service in the summer but now it’s terrible. Tried reaching out to management about my recent complaint, but apparently there is no real manager anymore. Check-in was horrible. Front desk was unprepared and still new looks like it. The rooms are alright. Always clean when serviced, but that’s the only good thing left with this place. I once tried to book for a group event and the sales lady didn’t seem like she knew much. It isn’t the same one from the summer. Some new lady, she was ok but sounded like she didn’t know a lot. Had to change my mind and go somewhere else and I suggest to call and do the same. On my latest and final stay, I saw this little bugger in the lobby. I’ve seen some outside bugs before maybe once or twice (which I’ve not bothered by), but pests inside??? Yuck. This place has fallen. It’s a fairly new hotel, but the service has plummeted. I guess the whole staff has changed because I don’t recognize anyone here anymore during my stays here. Everytime I needed an an issue addressed there wasn’t any manager available. Lost and found, late checkouts, noise complaints, pests, double-charging, extensions. I guess the maintenance guy is the manager? I saw him walk out a room in the middle of the night. I don’t know if he lives here or what he’s up to at those hours but he’s here ALL DAY at all hours. It all seems very unprofessional, unusual, and sketchy at best.”

“My last stay was a bad experience. I stayed here for a total of 10 days while looking for a new home. After the first 3 days I extended my stay for another week and wanted to keep the same room. They moved me from room 315 to 325 which was a smaller room. After 2 hours of sleep I woke up with my shoulder on fire very itchy. Immediately I grabbed my phone and started peeling back the sheets and pillow cases. That's when I discovered 2 bedbugs crawling. I Immediately reported it. They did move me to another floor as requested. However I checked out on the 26th of December and I haven't been reimbursed yet for the money that paid once checking in. With all the money I've spent with this hotel recently and in the past, I feel they could've did better. I wish I could post the videos and pictures here.”

“gross. room was obviously not smoke free, the smoke detector was covered in a plastic bag and had not been removed. neighbors were noisy all night and a car blasted music at 4:30 in the morning in their parking lot. would not recommend if traveling and need a good nights sleep.”

“Jessica, the assistant manager was amazing!!! If it was not for her I would have left a few weeks into my stay. She was very helpful, attentive, and knowledgeable. Such a kind soul. When I was staying there, I had no idea the bathroom was leaking to the floor below and got a knock on my door asking about when was I able to move without any explanation. Then once I went downstairs to speak with the manager I told him I could transfer rooms the same day, no help offered in moving my stuff. Maintenance came back, rushing asking when I will be done. I told him 3 hours!!! Then the toilet in the new room had problems without my knowledge and I seen a note where maintenance came to my room. I went downstairs and politely asked that no one enters my room beside housekeeping without asking me especially for maintenance. My room was scheduled to get clean weekly, there were three times that my room was not cleaned but marked down stating someone came and cleaned it. All three times Jessica offered to clean it for me which I declined because I told her that’s not her job and people need to do their job especially if they are getting paid for it. Services not being performed by workers and dissatisfied customers reflect on the manager. Jessica should be promoted to the lead manager. She was so much more helpful than the actual manager. Jessica needs a raise and needs to be promoted. Housekeeping has it good, get paid for not doing their job. Must be nice. Reflects on the manager again! Jessica is awesome, needs to be promoted, needs a raise! Such a hard worker and dedicated to her job, meets the needs of the customers. That’s a manager to me!! She did more than the actual manager.”

“This was our first time staying at the Haymarket Hilton and it was a great choice. The front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful. The room was ready and as requested, we were given a room on the top floor. The hotel is new and the rooms are a great size with plenty of room to move around. The room was clean and fully stocked with supplies (not always the case in some hotels, as we all know). The location was perfect for catching up with friends in the area as well as easy access to the highways for our business meetings. We will be staying here again when we visit the area. Highly recommended for visits just outside of the beltway.”

“We came up to visit family and they looked around for a place for us to stay. This is the place they chose. We have been very happy withe this place! It is very clean. The beds are comfortable and you are given soft and firm pillows. The water pressure in the shower was a little low. The breakfast was good, everything from omelets, pancakes, sausage, biscuits, gravy to pastries and cereal. There is an indoor pool , that looked nice. We would definitely stay here again!”
