“Great place to stay! Great communication and service ! We stayed at David's house. One bedroom could use updated bunk beds ! House could use more seating in the living room. House sleeps 20, but has seating for 6 in the living room. Nice and open kitchen/dining/ living room! Great place for large families! Reasonable prices! Easy walk to the beach! Heated pools nice and warm in the winter! Very safe place to stay! Loved the volleyball and basketball!”

“We stayed at a VRBO, thus no service stars. We love this building. Much of our joy is based upon the floor (17-23) as you get such a great view down into the water! We love seeing what kind of critters there are in the water. We routinely see smaller sharks (~5 ft long), manatees, multiple types of fish, dolphins, pelicans, coastal manta rays, and what we call flappies (manta-like rays with a wingspan of about 3 feet). Being on the western side of PCB, there are fewer people and a slower pace of life. A great place to rest and rejuvenate.”

“Overall a good stay for my trip to panama so I'll separate my pros and cons. Pros: The staff was super friendly! Had no issues checking in since I booked through a 3rd party. The lobby was clean, they gave us extra towels and trash can liners, and check out was also a breeze. The beds were also SUPER comfortable and the inn is conveniently located to quite a bit of restaurants and places to go do activities. Cons: The smell of the hotel room was unpleasant. Very musty smelling and smelled like there was a permanent cigarette smell stained into the carpet. Which by the signs, the rooms on that floor were supposed to be non smoking but we constantly smelled cigarette smoke and weed. The other issue was the driveway, we had difficulties getting in and out because its super small and there's a block right in the middle. Its also the only place to get in and out of the lot.”

“My knee went through the bathtub. Apparently it had already been plastered up but never replaced. The material was paper thin in the bathtub. My entire trip was ruined. This happened Christmas day and I had only been there since early Sunday morning. This place could really use renovations. As you can see it was holes in the walls and rust in the freezer. Even three light bulbs were out in the dining area. Maintenance suggested to patch up the hole the next day and we could remain in the unit. I refuse because of safety concerns so we were moved to another unit.”

“We had an amazing stay at this location. We chose to stay in a top floor ocean view, and it was a great choice. The stay was quiet, the staff and guests were great. This location is very convenient to shopping and dining needs. They do have covered parking that is just across the street from the hotel. It was very easy to drive up to the hotel, unload, and park across the way. The hotel was getting some work done around the pool area, but they kept everything clean, organized, and ready for guests to enjoy.”

“The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and quiet. The manager, Peter, is really kind and inviting and the prices are great. And they are pet friendly:) I definitely recommend this place. We have stayed in other establishments in Panama City and have been disappointed. We will never stay any where else in Panama City in the future ! The only thing I would recommend is to bring your own towels, theirs are small but they will give you extra towels if needed. And there is a laundry room on site.”

“We stayed here last week during fall break for our wedding/honeymoon. The entire building was always clean and there was always someone available at the front desk if needed. We used the beach service for chairs and umbrellas and they were all very friendly. Our condo was super clean and had more than enough towels and paper products for the two of us. We used the weight room and the equipment could use an upgrade, but overall it was not bad.”

“My son and I stayed a few nights at The Driftwood Inn during a sailing trip through the gulf this week (@Heidi, Shawna, Tom and Peggy, we made it home safely)! The rooms were beautiful and very clean. We made use of the outdoor grills and had a wonderful time. It’s not like staying at a hotel, though—it’s more like visiting your aunt and uncle with a really big beach house! The owners and staff were so warm and friendly that we didn’t want to leave. The owners and staff gave us numerous restaurant and seafood market suggestions that we could sail to, and even drove us to a couple of places we could not reach by boat. One of the staff even helped us shove off on our last day. I cannot say enough nice things about the Driftwood Inn and all the people we met there. The beach was gorgeous and active but not crowded. Mexico Beach and the Driftwood Inn are a great destination for family vacations or a quick getaway. We will be back, thank you all!”

“The hotel is very clean. The staff is very welcoming and polite every encounter. I must commend the general manager Sherri as she was working the front desk throughout my entire stay. She was ready and willing to assist us with everything we needed throughout our stay. Very kind lady. I spoke with a maintenance guy and two different housekeepers and everyone had nothing but good things to say about her. We snapped a picture of her while she was not looking. We will definitely be back to stay at this property.”

“My time here was fantastic. The staff Maribeth, Michael in the bar, Tristan and every staff I encountered were very nice and attentive. I can say during the off season it was enjoyable. The Embassy is the best looking property on PCB. The breakfast and evening social were very classy. This place is a gem. I'd probably raise the rates and put a weight limit on dog's that are allowed, to keep the Embassy classy and nice. As well I might add I was there from Tuesday to Saturday, on the weekend you could see more commoners arriving who had youth running amuke. But thank you Embassy for my nice winter getaway.”
