You can park the car for approx 30-40chf / day in the Garage. It is located in the middle of the city center. The hotel restaurant is very good.”

“Stayed for a night on 9th December 2023.Excellent service at reception and restaurant .The starters were amazing,steak was excellent and we were served home baked cookies which was just so heavenly. Their two waiters at the restaurant was top notch.They were so warm and pleasant from the start to the end of our dinner. Reception provided us heaters immediately when we needed it that night. This is such a vibrant hotel which nakes you feel at home. Thank you to the hotel management and restaurant team once again”

“We have had a reasonable experience with this hotel. When we arrived (at the normal check-in time), the room was not ready and we had to wait 30 minutes at a bar with a late barman and a welcome drink which was a cold tea. Following the little inconvenience we were brought to our room. The “lake view” was slightly underwhelming, with trees in front of the window, but I guess we could see the lake. I suspect that we were unlucky with the selection of the room. The room was however spacious and comfortable to stay in, with a nice bathroom and shower. The SPA was also enjoyable. Come time for dinner. We were left 5-10 minutes in front of the restaurant (with waiters knowing we were there) before being seated, and then we were seated at the only occupied table that had view on the wall, once again unlucky I suppose. The food was however pleasant, even if the total duration of the dinner was over two hours. We also had a random light turn on in the middle of the night, and one of the key cards for the room that didn’t work. I may have had relatively high expectations for this stay but the accumulations of little things really didn’t make it the experience I was hoping for. If you do go there, I hope you are luckier than we were. Enjoy Lugano!”

“Great location and service. Loved the breakfast. However rooms were very warm, even with the heat turned off. Given how much we paid, we weren't expecting to pay a sleeping tax. Given how much they charge you for a baby cot, taxes, etc, we'd likely look for a different place next time that was cheaper to account for all the extras. But the rooms were clean and nice, good views, and lovely service.”

“Excellent service and great balance price/benefit. We stayed in a room with terrace and lake view. The choice was totally worth, the room was very clean, the toilet has been fully renovated and the towels were also brand new. The room had TV, minibar (only with water but was totally fine), and the internet connection worked very well. We visited the hotel in autumn so the pool wasn’t open (it’s outdoor pool) yet we enjoyed very much the amazing view from the restaurant. We loved the service of all the staff… people in the restaurant are super kind, same with cleaning staff and reception. The lovely lady of the restaurant pampered us with coffee to bring to the room so we could enjoy the sunny day in the terrace. The hotel has plenty of options for parking, you can pay it (5 or 10CHF/night) depending on availability of the different places or even you can park for free few blocks far from the hotel. We would definitely stay again in Riviera Hotel!”

“Very nice location : beautiful landscape from the restaurant. BUT : minimum service assured. Noisy room during the night : impossible during 1h to join the personnel, night assistance not working. We had a cheaper room for the rest of the night, ok. Next morning, the staff was fully dedicated to a wedding scheduled for the weekend. They clearly did not care about us. Impossible to speak to a manager. Their priority was crystal clear : the wedding and never mind the others customers. We were expecting a 3 star hotel service. We had a hostel one.”
