“What a fantastic hotel!! Check in was seamless and pleasant. Room, though a little smaller than what I am used to, was charming, had everything I needed, and had been immaculately cleaned. A lovely modern bathroom with a heated floor - wonderful. The restaurant here is a very high standard, with a varied menu, my starter and main course where cooked perfectly. Breakfast is cooked to order and again was high quality. Throughout my stay, all the staff where very professional, friendly and helpful, I will definitely be returning when in the area again. Can't recommend high enough.”

“We held our post Wedding Dinner here, the service was fantastic and they managed to accommodate all 26 of us even after a Plumbing leak had lead to the original room being unavailable. The alternative room and atmosphere they created was amazing and hats off to the whole team especially Hannah and Kim who organized it all. For those also looking for an event venue this is a great place to choose in Royston and has two set menu's of options to choose from. I can testify that Set Menu A was not only amazing but all of our group loved it. We also had a couple of our group staying at Banyers House as well and they enjoyed their over night stay.”

“Awoken at 6am on first night by dustcart literally under room it was there for 28 minutes!! Also lots of loud banging from front door, during closing and after. Unfortunately our room seemed to be right over this area. Food in the restaurant was good quality produce, regrettably both breakfast we had were more than a little overdone, the home made hash brown exploded over my plate! We had a family meal in the restaurant, I'm afraid the service was slow and not good. Beware of the service charge on the bill, for a £400+ meal they had put £43 service charge on the bill!!! We challenged this and it was removed, leaving us to decide what tip the service should be. Certainly not £43 we should not be charged this amount automatically. we aren't in USA where servers don't get paid a wage and rely on tips. It should be up to the diner to tip the amount they feel their service deserves.”

“Great location. 10 min walk to train station. Parking is 2 mins behind the hotel, £15 for 24hrs. Plenty of pubs and restaurants nearby. Staff very helpful and friendly, no problem when we needed to stay an extra night. Breakfast was great and replenished often. Used tables promptly cleaned and ready for next guest. Rooms lovely and comfortable, only 1 bath towel in the rooms, seems to be Premier inn standard, but no problem when asked for another. Had seen other reviews ref noise from club next door, but asked for a quiet room and no problem at all..it was very quiet.”

“Reasonable accommodation for the price at the Ramada Hotel within South Mimms Services. Echo what others have said about the rooms looking tired. There were stains on the carpet, side of the bed and the lampshade. The shower and bath didn't look too inviting either. Bed was comfortable, decent size TV and everything worked. Fine for trip for work. I would also note that unlike the Premier Inn next door, parking was included in the room price and there was member of staff available to check me in on arrival.”
