“We stayed at Aloft February 2024. ROOM: we had the Urban larger guest room with 2 double beds as there was 2 adults and a child. Very spacious, clean room. Well equipped the with an iron, ironing board, hairdryer, kettle, Nespresso machine, fridge and safe. Definite highlight was the towelling dressing gown and slippers. Plenty of towels. Shower was great and cosmetics were standard. Only qualm is we could have done with hand soap. Beds were super comfortable and large. Black out blinds were very effective. TV was okay, but couldn’t get chromecast to work. BREAKFAST: worst part of the stay was the breakfast which was not great. The sausages were very unpalatable. No bread rolls, not much fruit, poor selection of pastries. However staff kept it well stocked and were pleasant. HOTEL: good location, fairly close to moor street (20 min walk). Decor was modern and stylish. Staff helpful, luggage store was very handy. There was a small gym and plenty of places to sit in the lobby. OVERALL: impressed with stay. Good value for money. Highlights were the dressing gowns, shower and comfy bed. Drawbacks was the breakfast- wouldn’t pay for this unless it was included”

“A great stay during a difficult time. Welcoming, attentive staff. Tip: Don't forget to insert your key card, otherwise the lights won't turn on! As a pedestrian, it was a bit of a walk to reach it but the whole set-up was very pleasant, clean and I'd recommend it. “(AVOID AT ALL COST - BED BUGS!!) I'm not sure where to begin. I had 3 rooms reserved for a short trip with friends, and all of them had faulty heating. I checked into this hotel, however it took a while because there wasn't enough staff. As soon as I entered the room, the carpets stank and the ceiling was stained and damp.The next day I woke up and I had MARKS on MY BODY I didn’t take notice until MY BODY STARTED ITCHING I rang 111 and they said I should go to Pharmacy then the pharmacist told me I had BED BUGS!!! I had to buy my own bed bug Cream and Tablets after letting the staff know no action was taken apart from moving us to a room which was full of damp the ceiling was completely stained. I insisted I speak to management they told me that they are not working today as it’s the weekend. After moving bedroom I woke up to a bug on my arm and my partner crushed it so there was red stain on bed so… PLEASE IM BEGGING ANYONE READING THIS DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS U WANT BED BUGS AND DIRTY LIVING SPACE!!!”

“Used for my daughter’s christening and wished I’d used another venue. The staff were rude and the manager on duty was completely useless. I had a guest with coeliac and this was dealt with very poorly. Initially the manager brought out the wrong plate as he had confused our event with another that day, I told him it wasn’t for us but he didn’t understand and kept insisting that I was wrong. In the end the receptionist had to come and explain to him that he was wrong. They had stated that they could cater for dietary requirements but what was given was pathetic and basically just salad, despite me paying full price for the meal. We had to repeatedly ask for a better sandwich and took them over an hour to produce anything which was dry. We were also very disappointed with the buffet, guests commented that the bread was stale. We complained about the buffet and staff attitude and the manager refused to deal with the complaint that day and said to send an email. I sent a complaint after the event and tried chasing it by email and phone a couple of times and they completely ignored me. Overpriced for the quality and service provided. Do not recommend.”
