“We didn’t stay here just went to the public bar for dinner, live music and some games pool. The staff were exceptional, the food was really good, the live band was great and the pool table was actually the best pub pool table we’ve ever played on (and we’ve played on a lot!) . Definitely be stopping in again next time we are in Ballarat.”

“Called in at the Western Hotel for lunch with my Grandson and his Girlfriend. We ordered the Quiche and Salad,the Tradies Steak Sandwich,and the mini soft tacos. The food was well presented,and decent sized servings.|On a par with the best pub meals I have had around Australia,and great value for money.”

“Lovely building in a really handy, central spot. Rooms are nicely furnished but "fully equipped" is a stretch. E.g. no saucepan big enough to cook pasta. Staff weren't able to help. Still, we enjoyed our week in Ballarat based at the apartments.”

“👎I mean, my expectations weren't high ordering a chicken burger, but I was still sadly disappointed. The bar staff didn't know their alcohol and I basically ordered a giant, hard bread roll. The patty kinda tasted like a KFC patty when I found it, the filling salad tasted old, and I think there was some form of avocado but it was stuck to the roll (which I didn't eat). Don't recommend.”

“Stayed in accessible 2br apartment. Huge, spotlessly clean apartment with all the amenities of home. Great kitchen, dishwasher, stove and cooking utensils. Accessible bathroom was huge with loads of space to manoeuvre, plenty of handrails, adjustable shower head and a fold down shower bench. Comfortable beds, loads of seating in lounge and dining areas. Staff were welcoming, happy and very helpful. We will be back and stay longer next time!”
