“Liz and Michael at front desk are wonderful. Very welcoming, kind, hospitable, and gracious. The room was sparkling clean and nice and big. The parking is amazing - as a business traveler, it’s really important that I have easy in & out complimentary parking and Hampton inn never lets me down. Looking forward to the free unlimited coffee and breakfast in the morning. Thank you again to Liz and Michael for making me feel so welcome and comforted here. 😊😊”

“When my company booked this hotel, I had no say in it. It was done for me. Before checking in, I read other reviews, and they were not wrong about this place. Upon checking in, I was told by the front desk staff that the hot tub is not working.. I chuckled at that a little bit as that was in a lot of the reviews that I had read previously. I was told that gets hot. It just doesn't bubble. Okay, it's not a big deal. I wasn't planning on using it anyhow. The other things that were stated in prior reviews were NOT wrong at all. For example, the long black hairs on the shampoo bottles and on the shower floor, inside of the refrigerator, ALL over the place! Now, speaking of the refrigerator, which was again, previously reviewed on, I bought a few items, placed them in the fridge, and turned it on, thinking, well that was the problem, they didn't turn the fridge on. Nope, the next morning, my coffee creamer and everything else that I put in there all went in the trash as they were room temperature because the fridge NEVER turned on at all! FIX THE FRIDGE ISSUE! You have enough negative reviews on it. Fix it!! Also, if you are looking for a quiet place, don't come here. Noise from the next-door highway is constant and so loud that you would think that the window was open. You can hear every little peep from the hallways, and if you have someone in the room next to yours or above yours, good luck sleeping! Breakfast is edible at most, and I gave a 3 star to the service because of the issues not being addressed previously, but the front desk folks are nice.”

“The hotel was adequate. The cleanliness was not good. The floors were not clean, especially the bathroom floor, and the rug below the ironing board, and iron. The furniture was old and worn and not comfortable. All dishes were in dishwasher. Didn't know where to put them away. I can stay at home and do housework. Sheets and bedding seemed clean and bed was comfortable.”

“The rooms are nice. Its location in the heart of historic downtown La Crosse is perfect. There were a few things that were sub par, particularly the pool. The photos of the pool online looked really nice online and I was meeting an old friend here with our kids. The pool was to be a big part of our trip. There is some sort of ventilation/humidity issue in the pool room making it overly humid, off smelling and causing alot of rust and corrosion. The water itself seemed clean enough and sanitary, but overall the pool area really needs some work. For the price we paid, it’d be nice to have functioning pool area. Also someone from the hotel staff came by at 4am in the morning and quite loudly slid a receipt for our stay under the door. They were struggling to get it under the door and it woke me up. I never quite got back to sleep after that. This receipt delivery service was completely unnecessary in this age of email. I would have preferred to not have been woken up.”

“The staff was excellent, they were so nice and friendly! The rooms are decent, really clean. We had a king bed and the only negative complaint I had is at least the room we were in the bed was awful. It was super crunchy and so firm it was really uncomfortable and incredibly hard to fall asleep on. It was like sleeping on a rock that just came from the dry cleaners and got extra starch put on it. The pillows are also incredibly small. For $150, I would hope/expect the bed to be more comfortable. Honestly, an air mattress is more comfortable. Not the best, otherwise everything else was great.”
