“Excellent hotel in Istanbul! It is special to have a security x-ray checking machine in the entrance of the lobby. Dinning area is nice, spacing between tables are sufficient, to give you the relaxation.The staffs and chefs are friendly, to welcome and introduce the food. Mall of Istanbul (a huge mall) is located next beside, an exclusive pathway offered to the hotel residents to access easily. The Cat Manager always stays in the hotel check in area. Turkish people love cats, me too.”

“Just arrived into the hotel, and I was surprised on the law level of the room, it was really dirty. I informed the team, and they apologized and offer to change the suit, even in the system this room shown it was inspected and should be neat. I checked more than 3 suits, the same level of cleanliness. ROTANA with this level cleanliness it is really shameful. I don’t recommend this bad hotel for anyone. There is no hot water. The sink was flooding. No tooth paste. I was my worth stay for me and my family in whale my life!! Tomorrow I will leave the hotel, even I pained for two night, fortunately I didn’t book for the whale stay in Istanbul at this hotel.”

“I rented a room for my mother at this place for a few days. After her knee operation she had to stay a few more days in the room for a regeneration time. When I wanted to visit her in her room the receptionist didn’t allowed me to go in her room. She had to come down and it was just allowed to talk in the lobby. Lucky me she can walk again after her knee operation but it’s still unbelievable. I cannot understand why the hotel rules didn’t allowes me to visit my own mom in the room for just 15 minutes. Under this circumstances I cannot recommend this hotel. I never had such a situation before in a hotel. And I’ll never book again a room at this hotel.”

“Well located. Lots of reasonably priced eating joints all around. Some shopping too. Easy access to shopping and tourism area. The hotel decor is good but lack maintenance. Some hotel staff are good, like the bell boy and young reception boy. Forgot to ask his name. He mostly man the reception during night. He was very courteous, professional and helpful. Talk in English. I would like to put on record my appreciation to this young man. Staff of his attitude will make the customer feel happy and forget about others misgivings. Thank you”

“Lovely, spacious rooms that are obviously very well cleaned. Responsive staff that speak English, and are happy to assist. Delightfully located just off a busy street, so road noises are minimal, but you still have access to plenty of shops; there is an air conditioned, clean mall in sight distance that has a wonderful Turkish market daily on the bottom floor. The pool, sauna, and baths were open, but there were no spa services available. You will also need to pay extra to utilize them. The restaurant on the top floor is not open, but they still do excellent room service, that is supplied by a local restaurant. They also have a small coffee bar in the lobby, where you can get a variety of drinks for a nominal price; the lady who works the cafe is so very kind. There are lots of shops and local restaurants in the area-- I highly recommend Elite Lounge for amazing food, and excellent service, and They are doing some renovations, and capital improvements, so I expect it will only get better and better!”

“After missing our connection in Istanbul (because our Turkish airlines flight from Greece was delayed by over 2 hours for some reason), it seemed we had to spend the night in Turkey. The airline (Turkish) arranged for us and a few other dozen passengers to spend the night at local hotels near the airport. The one we were sent to was about one hour away from the airport. We got there around 10 pm. There were already 40-50 other people in the hotel lobby waiting to be checked it. The hotel's bar and restaurant were both closed at the time of our arrival. We could not get any food or at least a cup of water for that reason. The check-in process was extremely slow. We were among the last to be checked in. It took close to 2 hours to be checked in. Our room had a strong cigarette smoke odour. Both my wife and myself do not smoke, so we picked up the smell right away. After leaving there (about 3 hours later) to continue our flight, we were still cracking jokes about having been checked into an ash try rather than a hotel room. In conclusion, had we known up front we'd spend about 4 hours in shuttles and in a hotel lobby in order to get 3 hours of sleep in a room that reeked of cigarettes, we would have probably chosen to stay in the airport instead.
