“My husband and I stayed for New Year's Eve for our 25th anniversary. The level of customer service and attention to detail at check in by Melissa was extraordinary and made our stay. The hotel is in a good area, very well kept, clean and thoughtfully designed. Breakfast was well stocked and consisted of all the standard cold foods plus scrambled eggs, sausage, hot biscuits and white gravy. There are both regular and mini waffle options. Multiple coffee options were available in the lobby the entire stay. The pool area and gym are well taken care of. Our 3rd floor room had a pleasantly fresh smell and everything was cleaned perfectly. Every piece of furniture was in good condition and had an abundance of plugs built in for any device. Bath products provided were Dove, and the towels were large and great quality. The only negative I came across was the king bed is very firm which was painful for me, but it wasn't an issue for my husband. Otherwise, the entire stay from check in to check out was excellent. We will happily be returning to this property every time we are in the Tulsa area.”

“We had to stay here in an emergency situation and although we were grateful to have a roof over our heads, I would not recommend this place. The evening staff were obviously very miserable, but the morning staff was very empathetic to our situation. So, unless you enjoy loud music, motorcycles zooming by at all hours, construction noises until the wee hours and starting at the crack of dawn, then have fun! And not to mention the very small fridge, roaches, dirty walls, mold in the shower, behind the sink and on the walls. Nope, never again.”

“The suite was huge with amazing views and floor to ceiling bifold doors that opened up to overlook the ocean. Really beautiful. Staff were friendly and helpful. 5 minute walk to the "second beach" which has cryatal clear waters and is less overcrowded than the main beach. Only downfall was the "all inclusive" food... similar to what I would imagine prison food is like! However, you can eat out every night for relatively cheap with lots of great restaurants in easy walking distance. Would definitely stay again”

“Wonderful room, fabulous dinner. I stayed in a king room with bathtub. After a long hike I was happy to have a large tub to soak in. I chose the hotel because it is 5 minutes down the street from a significant hiking area with dozens of trails. Will come back for snowshoeing in the winter. Dinner at the restaurant could not have been better. It included a noteworthy Caesar salad with 4-5 whole slices of freshly cooked bacon (still warm), and fresh melt-in-your-mouth heirloom tomatoes. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Very quiet room. Keurig in room including decaf coffee and hot chocolate pods. I was in heaven.”

“Just for clarification, the room rating is exactly what the room rating qualifies for. That is not to indicate that it's a bad rating. It is to grade it for what it is. Now I must say that I contacted the Hotel Catalina before arriving because I wanted specs on distance from our boat landing. And as I was google mapping, of course, I started looking at reviews for the Hotel. And yes, my caution flags went up. I immediately paused and looked to see if ANY other places had availability. Well, the island was booked. So it meant that I had to prep for a questionable stay. Upon reaching the Hotel "Catalina," I took a deep breath and entered. We were greeted and confirmed our check-in time was able to leave our baggage in the lobby and went to grab something to eat. Once we checked in, it's true the room is small compared to other Hotels we've stayed in. Every bad review that had specific complaints I looked for. We had one small discrepancy, and as soon as we brought it to the front desk attention, Norma and Omar made sure our small concern was handled properly, Thank you, Norma and Omar! I am not opposed to staying here again, I actually think it's Kool being able to stay in a place 120 years old. With that understanding, I am able to adjust my expectations accordingly. Thank you Hotel "Catalina" our party overall experience was satisfying, no complaints. I will end on this note when you get to the Hotel make sure you take 15 minutes and utilize the MASSAGE CHAIR!!!”

“My sister and I stayed overnight here on our way out of DR after an visit to family. My first impression of this place was a quaint hotel stuck in years gone by, but in a very positive way. The service was by far the best part of the hotel. The manager was very helpful, even as he was training a new desk attendant. We got there early and went to do other stuff until time to check in. When we got back, they had our room ready. We had made a mistake in our reservation, asking for 1 bed instead of 2. They made an adjustment quickly and with no complaint. The room was fine and we were very pleased that the air conditioning was up to the task of a hot and humid day. It would have been nice had the bathroom been airconditioned, as well, but the window didn't shut completely so we left the door shut. We slept well. We had asked for sandwiches for the next morning, as we had to leave for the airport well before the serving time of their breakfast. The morning manager not only made us sandwiches to take with us, but also made us breakfast completely unexpectedly. We would go back to this place most assuredly.”

“This is a good hotel and the staff on duty when I checked in was very friendly and accommodating. The only issue I had was that room 113 should not be used unless the hotel is full as the bed headboards do not appear to be insulated and share a wall with the breakfast dining area. So starting around 0500 or so it starts getting very noisy and I was only able to intermittently sleep past that time.”

“We went in pairs of 2 with a total of 6 people we check in like at 10:30pm once we saw the rooms, the small shelves table and floor were so dirty that we had to clean them, the floor and walls were really wet because of the humid, the bathroom set was broken and the shower head didn't even had a head it was just the pipe, the bed was the only thing okay, if you want some blankets they come after 30 minutes, also the young guy with glasses was super cute and professional but other than that bad experience from all of us.”
