“This is our second out of season visit to La Trapera. Our preference is to visit out of season to enjoy the peace and tranquility. The site, run by a lovely, friendly family, is located in a beautiful valley. The pitches are clearly marked and each pitch has its own electricity and water connection. The toilet/shower block is modern and kept immaculately clean. Lunch at the restaurant is an experience not to be missed, the food is superb. This location is a paradise for walkers or cyclists. Directly from the site you have access to paths roads and tracks to suit every interest and ability. Our preference was simply to walk up into the hills along the stream running next to the site. We picked hawthorn berries and enjoyed homemade hawthorn ketchup for the rest of our holiday. A round trip (easy walk) of just over a mile takes you into pradoluengo, where there is a well stocked supermarket, banks etc. We cannot recommend this site highly enough.”

“I was walking the Camino and needed a full rest day, so I decided to stay in this hotel for two nights, rather than in an albergue. It was great to have a private room. This hotel is located to the east of downtown Burgos, in a quiet neighborhood. It is a short walk to the river and then along the river to downtown. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. The room was super clean, as was the modern bathroom. I had breakfast both mornings in the hotel. There was an ample selection.”

“OK hotel, well situated to walk into town. It is a little run down and the rooms are fairly small. The breakfast is above average though and the staff is friendly. Down side is they do not have their own parking so you either park on the street if you can find a spot or in the Plaza Major parking garage which is a 5 minute walk.”

“A beautiful hotel tastefully furnished and decorated though with modern facilities. Beds very comfortable. Was surprised to learn that it was built in 1980s. Didn't have time to visit the attached winery but the wine we chose for dinner was perfect. Not a huge dinner menu but we'll cooked & presented. Good choice at buffet breakfast though still being set up when we arrived at opening time as we had a ferry to catch. Would certainly use hotel again. Reception staff friendly & helpful.”
