“Very Disappointed in this hotel. While the room itself is fine and fits the price, I paid up front for the room which should be in favor of the hotel. Unfortunately, my plans changed and I had to leave a few days early. No credit was offered nor was I given or offered any points or any attempt to do anything for the customer. Why should anyone pay up front to help out the hotel when I saved a mere $5 for such bad service to a long time hyatt member and customer. Poor customer service to say the least.”

I like it that they think on all the details, all the way to providing a laundry basket in the room so it will be easy to do your laundry. It cost the same like similar hotels in the area, but provides much more value for the money.”

“Checking in was extremely easy, Brie was so helpful getting us settled after a long drive. Advised us of the daily breakfast offered, coffee available 24/7 in the lobby, the snack room, guest laundry facilities & gym. Our room was a 2 bedroom suite with full kitchen, the fireplace was so nice & cozy, comfortable beds & furnishings. Extremely clean & quiet complex, We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to San Jose. Encourages us to travel more & stay with Homewood suites / Hilton.”

Breakfast everyday is just yummy… the pool is really nice and I would just say it’s a bummer there’s not a trash can anywhere but the lobby (and your room)… Room service is available, and I would say a little bit more light in each room… I was having a hard time getting all the lights in just to be able to work in the mornings! But other than that, housekeeping was really nice and attentive”

“The first time that I've left and went to another hotel. The only room they had for me was on the first floor with a horrible, musty smell. Even though I just walked in and out of the room and they didn't inform me it's on the first floor prior to check in, I have to pay the first night because I technically have already checked in. I also have to call tomorrow morning when a manager comes to try to refund my other nights. This is an expensive hotel that's so not worth the price! Stay elsewhere Edit: They sent me a receipt that charged me TWO nights even though I've been in constant contact (spoke to front desk in person once, confirmed with rep it'll be refunded, left a follow up voicemail to manager). What happened to "Hampton Guarantee"??? I'm being charged for night 2 even after I told them night 1 I'm cancelling the entire stay.”

“I returned here because of good previous experiences. This time was not good. It began with a room that had no desk lamp. Instead of just finding me a lamp, she gave me a different room. It was 30-40 minutes before I could even unload into my room after a 650-mile drive. This hotel wasn't even on the way for me but I wanted to stay somewhere safe and nice, because that's how i remembered it. The next room I got was filthy. The carpet wasn't vacuumed. The floor wasn't washed. There was even blood on the carpet. The vent screens in the A/C unit were black and hadn't been washed in a long time. The bed wasn't comfortable. The breakfast wasn't as good as other La Quinta locations. For $140, I expect better than a Motel 6 quality. The manager should've either comped the room or given me a 50% discount. By the way, I'm a Diamond member and had to remind her to give me the free bottle of water (woohoo - a $0.50 bottle on a $140 room).”

“In our first room, the window was broken, we were moved to another room, and the next room's door key reader was broken, but we knew before going in there and were told ahead of time. But, the issue was that it had ants in there, and the sink and tub would slow drain, so they were clogged. I am pretty disappointed since I typically love staying at Hilton because the rooms are usually fantastic, and the service is typically great. We paid ahead of time for breakfast the next day, and then they tried charging us again even though we had paid prior. The only positive was that the hotel is in a great location..”

“Room was comfortable and clean. Wi-fi worked good. The parking lot felt safe too. Front desk was friendly, helpful & prompt with any issues. Breakfast room had many choices, eggs, sausage, potatoes, yogurt ,waffles, Pastry, tea and a coffee dispenser with several drinks. I wish I had had time to take a swim in that beautiful pool.”

“It was important to us to get the room with the jetted tub, so we paid extra for that room. It was a beautiful room with great lighting. I loved everything about it, but unfortunately the jetted tub was broken. Maintenance came and could not fixt it. They tried for quite awhile. They could not repair it and couldn’t offer us a room switch. So they said they were going to give us a cheaper rate, as we paid extra for the tub. Which I was sad about, but I found that fair. At checkout the digital concierge didn’t know what I was talking about. I ended up asking for a manager because she wasn’t understanding and I am not going to pay for an amenity I didn’t receive. Finally a few days later the price reduction showed up on my CC. Other than the tub not working and concierge having to call management to find out if they did in fact owe me a reduction during checkout, it was a lovely experience, the maintenance staff was really nice and I liked the style of the room and hotel. Breakfast was simple with beagles/cereal/yogurt but was a nice place to sit and eat. Although, the room was missing some basic amenities and the door downstairs which locks at night for “security reasons” was locked during the day accidentally once which made checkout extra frustrating.”

For the price, which is about the cheapest of the mega-brand hotels in the area (Marriott/Hyatt/Hilton), it was great. “Don’t go anywhere else! Honestly an incredible stay, especially for the price. The bed + pillows were extremely comfortable - which was much appreciated after a 17 hour flight and 24 hour travel day- The robe was a wonderful touch, and something you only see in nicer hotels. The decor was tasteful and aligned with Zen theme. Even though it was close to the road, it was very quiet. Grateful for the secure location and parking, kind staff. Really there wasn’t anything they overlooked. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and will be booking again next time.”
