“We absolutely loved this little gem of a hotel! The rooms were clean and comfortable with incredible views over the lake. The lounge/dock area is amazing with paddle boards, kayaks and a water trampoline all available for hotel guests. The hotel is located about a 2 minute walk from the bus stop and a 10 minute walk from the ferry, both of which will take you to Bellagio and other destinations on the lake. Finally, the hotel restaurant was outstanding -from the food to the views to the wine list. This hotel is low key but very comfortable. The waterfront and restaurant made our stay truly special and fabulous! I would definitely stay here again, and I highly recommend it to others.”

The room was spacious and had a breathtaking view of the lake. You can reach the city center by public transportation or if you prefer walking then it is around 30 minutes to reach by feet.”

“Nice hotel in Merone. The hotel is 30 minutes by car from Como and about 20 min from Lecco. Both nice destinations for excursions. The staff is friendly. The rooms are nice. The hotel's own restaurant is great. It has a pool area with an outdoor bar and a large lawn. Sometimes a few geese come to visit. The hotel is located directly on a river. The morning buffet is also very rich and offers everything you need. We like to come back”

“First visit to try the restaurant after reading so many good reviews about the food and service. However, we never got the chance to sample either! The staff were obviously very busy as it was Sunday and we unfortunately hadn’t booked but we thought as there were only two of us and we were early, they would manage to fit us in even if we had to wait a while for a table to become available. No such luck! After waiting patiently, one waitress eventually approached us and we asked if they had a table for two. She disappeared inside the restaurant where we thought she was finding us somewhere to sit. However, she came back and continued to serve other customers without a word to us. After another patient wait, a second waitress came out, asked us the same and again, disappeared without saying anything. We waited further and, as we were starting to feel ignored, were about to walk out when a third waitress came out to inform us there were no tables. A first for Italy, where most restaurant owners or waiting staff go above and beyond to be pleasant and helpful. The staff at Agriturismo Barcola are obviously stressed and it shows in their service to potential customers. Such a shame but we certainly won’t be going back!”

“The food was tasty, the view is pretty, come here if you live your life on instagram and all you want is to post pictures where are you, rather than enjoy being in the moment. But anyway I had mixed feelings…can’t decide if the problem was that we are tourists or we were not high class enough. There was one particularly nice waitress lady, bless her, the others were rude a bit, or cold? Don’t know, can’t express it either but it’s not for me.”

While the view, staff, and breakfast were commendable, the noise transfer between rooms is a notable concern that potential guests should be aware of before booking at Hotel Barchetta in Como.”

Luca at the concierge and his team were on top of everything. The food for breakfast and dinner were fantastic. The check in experience seamless. As another reviewer pointed out - the bar staff was also top notch and attentive. There was no better seat than on the terrace over looking the lake surrounded by beautifully manicured d grounds The Hotel is beautiful in and out and tasteful blends the modern requirements of todays travelers with the history and unique architecture of the building. The spa! The best spa I have ever been to. You can spend an entire day in the spa without any treatments and you may just finish all the different options it presents. And it is complimentary as a guest of the hotel. If I make it back to Lago di Como I will certainly call the Grand Hotel Victoria my home.”

“We had an absolutely wonderful experience staying at Hotel La Perla. The owners/staff were the most kind and helpful people. It was my first visit to Italy, and they even helped arrange our transportation to get us from Milan to the hotel and to get us back to the airport in Milan. The view from the hotel was fabulous and our room featured a beautiful private two-level patio. The food they served for dinner was very good and very reasonably priced. Our room was a family suite, and it was very nice and clean with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was slightly small, but it was really not an issue. If you are visiting Lake Como, I would highly recommend staying here!”

“Stayed in the superior family room with two floors: living room, toilet and a fully equipped kitchen on the ground floor; an open space with two bedrooms and a toiled upstairs. Nice spa area - swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi - that need to be booked before use limiting to up to seven people to avoid to overcrowd it. Free private parking on site, pet friendly and local restaurant on site that open Friday and Saturday for dinner and Sunday for lunch - better to book in advance. Great view from the Swiss Alps.”

The rooms were nice with a nice clean washroom. The breakfast had a good selection. The location of this hotel can't be beat, as it's right in front of where the ferry dropped us of. The price was very reasonable as well. The staff at the front desk were always very helpful. I would recommend this hotel for anyone looking to go to Bellagio.”
