“This hotel is blissful. It's half an hour's drive from anywhere else but it overlooks wooded countryside and is the perfect example of how to renovate an ancient village. All of the rooms are separate houses and are very comfortable with sitting rooms and fireplaces. The staff is excellent. Service is first class. The food in the restaurant was unexpectedly good and we ended up eating there every night because there really is nowhere else within easy driving distance. And it is also great value considering the fact that they've got a captive audience. We simply didn't understand why we were the only guests there in early June. Although it would appear to be down to the poor weather they've had this year. There are lovely walks around the hotel.”

“"Amazing value" doesn't feel like a fair assessment because I don't feel like I've sacrificed anything for a better price. I felt more like I was staying at a friend's private villa than I did a guest at a hotel. The grounds and view are breathtaking, Antonello and the rest of the staff are so kind, and the spa is top-notch. Plus, La Terrazza is conveniently located for accessing Assisi's historic center within 3 minutes while still being removed from the hubbub. I happily extended my stay here by another night.”

“Hosts were less than welcoming. The restaurant announced that the chef was not available, so items on the menu were also not. Would have loved to have known this at check in so we could have chosen options for other places to eat. Service was slow, and one plate was very different from the next of the same item. Private spa would have been amazing but the jacuzzi was the same temp as the pool, room temp to cool, and the fireplace and shower wouldn't turn on. No one at the desk the entire time to ask for help and the courtesy phone didn't work inside the spa. Grounds and rooms are beautiful but not sure we would stay here again. To respond to their comments... We tried to let the front desk know about the issues multiple times, even rang the bell. No one came. The lady who ran the breakfast this morning was wonderful and the breakfast was nice too. My partner was the one to do the check out so I could take care of the kiddo but at that point, there wasn't anything to be fixed.”

“I recently went here for a wedding and it was a magical Italian dream. Right when you get up the hill and see the place, it's like you're in a completely different place from the busy tourist heavy cities. The scenery alone made the visit well worth it and definitely made the wedding extra special/beautiful. The hotel is well-preserved that helps with its overall charm. The staff was amazing, friendly, and made sure all the guests were well taken care of. There's so much to explore on the grounds, with different produce on the grounds as well as a spa, swimming pool, tennis court. There are a lot of different spots to accommodate guests throughout the day of the wedding which made everything feel like your not-so-typical event.”

“Terrible experience! One main reason we picked this hotel was for the air conditioning. Upon arrival at the hotel, Maurizio at the front desk barely looked up to greet us. As we stood there to check in, he left the front desk without even acknowledging our presence. Finally, we got his attention because a person in our party struck up a conversation with him in Italian. This seemed to make him a bit more friendly (even though he DID speak english!) and he checked us into our hotel apartment. After getting into our hotel apartment, we noticed the air conditioning was not functioning. This was a big problem since it was extremely hot. When we went to the front desk to speak to Maurizio, he threw a tantrum, slamming the phone and shoving it across the front desk. Maurizio's behavior was extremely unprofessional and his outburst scared my kids. He also made it extremely obvious that he did not like Americans! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially if you are an American!”

“Very nice place, clean room, beautiful pool. It really is "emerged in green" - without the car you can forget about reaching it. But it is located very close to Perugia, also quite close to Assisi. The landscape is very nice. The restaurant serves local dishes made of local products - you have to wait for it a little, but it's good and it' fresh. And it's a lot. We spend a nice days there and we wouldn't mind coming back :-)”

“Perfect position very close to the town centre with secure main entrance after dark. Wheelchair users will struggle with the main entrance ramp and stair even if using the lift. Lovely room with fully equipped bathroom and interior courtyard facing balcony. Air conditioning could be stronger, during the visit temperatures reached 38 and the AC was not as strong as it should be. Fantastic breakfast with excellent coffee machine and friendly, efficient staff.”
