“Best hostel I have been so far! Spacious rooms and bathrooms, everything really well cleaned, comfy mattresses and beds not too squeaky. Big common areas where you can easily socialise but even stay on your own if you prefer. Amazing breakfast with so many options of tea and coffee. Staff really helpful (I had a snoring issue my first night and they changed my room straight away). Be aware they have two private double rooms that aren t online, if you want something like that contact the hostel directly!”

Complimentary breakfast, Starbucks less than 5 min walk from hotel, beautiful walking path along the coastal waterway. Beautiful quite time walk, with a coffee at sunrise. Lots of benches along the way to enjoy the sited. There were 3 of us on the trip and our room was two bedrooms with two baths and a terrace very reasonably priced.”

“We were there January 6-7 for the beer fest for my husbands 35th birthday. We had the pleasure of having Mialani L. As our front desk consultant. She made our experience from beginning to end FANTASTIC! Not only do I feel like she gave us the best corner room in the whole place as an upgrade, but she did everything with a smile and a great attitude! Thank you Mialani for providing a memorable weekend for us. The hotel was clean, the beds were comfortable and spacious. The elevators worked well. The breakfast provided lots of options. We even spent quite some time at the outside bar and they were kind enough to make sure we were warm during our time outside. I will definitely be staying here next time we are in San Diego. Marriott you guys have a treasure with Mialani!!!!”

“We found our home away from home when visiting my family. We love that we can visit my home town but have a place to ourselves. The price isn't bad either. You get a whole apartment! The service has always been great. The rooms are a little outdated, but they said they are remodeling the rooms in 2024! The front lobby area just finished remodeling, and it's beautiful! 😍 we've stayed twice now (both 1 bedrooms) and have been super happy both times. This time, we got to use the fireplace. The 1st log each night was free, which was super nice. The. Views from both rooms were great. Very quiet day and night. Occasional kids playing or riding bikes that get loud but nothing too crazy. Made it feel more homey to me. Plus, they have a very cute resident cat that greets you at the front 😊 All and all a super great family or couple place to stay at. Short term or long term!”

“Great stay at the Hampton Inn while in the area for a business meeting. The staff member at the front desk was incredible; he was warm, welcoming, and going above and beyond expected service! He even offered to bring a meal service delivery up to my room while I was on an evening business call so that my food wouldn't get cold. Unfortunately, I can't recall his name. Room was spacious, clean and neat, although a bit tricky to figure out how to work the blinds (small button near the top automatically raises/lowers the blinds). Love that I could pick a room on the app, used advice from other reviews to get one away from street and parking lot. I was very pleasantly surprised at how great my stay here was.”

She provided me with instructions on how to get to my room and the availability of dining options on property. I was beyond parched and she generously offered me a complimentary bottled water for my guest and I. I would highly recommend this place. The room was recently renovated. The bed was up to standards and the business desk was perfect for getting some last minute stuff done. Bathroom was at standards and clean!!!! They have a mini fridge for your leftovers and a coffee machine in room.”

“Terrible experience in so many ways. The room had stand-alone portable air conditioners with ventilation tubes attached to open windows. These portable air conditioners are as loud as if I was standing in traffic on a freeway. Directly below my room, outside, is the smokers patio so all the cigarette smoke flows into my room through the windows that cannot be closed. The iron did not function at all. I tried to call the front desk to ask for a functional iron only to discover my phone also doesn't work. The room is dirty, the carpet is old and worn out. The shower pressure is terrible. Any $ amount paid for this room is too much. One of the worst lodging experiences I have had in a long time.”

“Nice value for the money! Room was clean and well kept. Our room location (4th floor) was quiet and the layout was great. The fold out couch and privacy wall created a two room space in just one room. Nice set up for our family of 4. Fridge was big enough to stock up with drinks and hold leftovers during our stay, and the microwave was a plus. Housekeeping was tricky to figure out at first. A few of the days we requested service it didn't happen, but once I talked to the front desk it was taken care of per our request. Pool was well maintained but we typically had to ask the front desk for towels. There was a soccer tournament and those guests really impacted the other guests in a negative way. Lucky they were only in town for two nights because they took over the pool and DESTROYED the breakfast buffet. Best to hit the breakfast early if you stay. Food is great, but it was hard for the kitchen staff to keep up with hot food demand when a lot of guests were partaking. The gym was awesome! Not crowded and enough to get a nice workout in. I'd stay again for sure!”

“Hotel Indigo, in Del Mar, California, is one of the most unique hotels my husband and I have ever stayed in. Our room, 403, had a full ocean view, accompanied by a complete poolside view. This room has a couch, desk area, mini fridge, and coffee maker. The breakfast in their restaurant had many varieties that were all delicious. We were there for 18 days and tried them all! Be sure to try the steak tacos for dinner, as they were excellent also! Jordan, the food and beverage manager, goes above and beyond. He is personable, professional, and warmly greeted us each day we had breakfast. Barbara, at the front desk, called us the day of arrival to let us know our room was available. She also greeted us each time we walked into the lobby. Daniel Miranda, who is the general manager of this hotel, runs a tight ship, which is extremely evident by the cleanliness of the rooms, and hotel grounds. Be sure to have breakfast, or dinner, at the outside patio seating area, which has a view of the ocean, and pool. We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Indigo, and will definitely be back!”
