“Travelling for work, 1 night stay. Friendly welcome and speedy check in. Slightly disappointing after being offered a table in the restaurant then told sorry no room but you can eat in the bar. It was after a 5 hour drive so didn't feel like going out, the bar it is. Room was OK, clean and tidy but nothing special, Premier Inn standard although the bed was not quite as comfy as Premier Inn. Bar was small so felt busier than it actually was. Short wait to be served but again friendly service. Building feels unloved, wallpaper peeling in places, water stained ceilings, woodwork needing a coat of paint, light fitting damaged in the ceiling, etc.... not horrendous but could do with a bit of tlc. Food wasn't much to write home about, chicken supreme was supposed to be a skin on breast but turned out to be a small mini beast fillet, no sauce included but table sauces available. Weatherspoons standard at best but twice the price. Breakfast was OK, freshly cooked and arrived quickly, but continental and cereal options were limited. Overall, OK. Would stay again if 1 night for a work visit but not a holiday destination. OK for the money.”

“Friday 23rd December 2023 Last night, i stopped in room 209 in this hotel. The room was great Good tv, good coffee coffee making facilities could do with more milk The bed was comfortable and on suite bathroom plenty big enough with a grand shower unit. The lift was okies, and in the morning, the breakfast was superb It's a shame is over a 10 pound taxi distance to the Doncaster town centre but other than that it's a great place to stay”

“After a day of hiking at 28°C, I decided to reward myself with a swim in the lake, a meal and a cold shandy. The Three Merry Lads was the closest pub, so I decided to go for it, as didn't want to travel any further away. I did not pay attention to many details, as totally exhausted, but the service was impeccable. Once I asked if they could do vegan pizza for me, I had a straight yes as an answer, even if there was no vegan pizza on the menu. Pizza arrived within a few minutes and have to admit that ordering it, was one of the best ideas that day. The pizza was delicious, thin and crunchy. I was very surprised by how the cheese melted and how tasty it was. The lovely girls were checking on me from time to time asking if everything was fine or if I needed something else. They were lovely. I sat outside, as wanted to absorb even more fresh air and get dry after my dip in the lake. The view from the outside area was beautiful, straight onto some hills. The car park was big enough to fit many cars. I did not use the facilities, so hard to say anything about the cleanness.”

“Once again Rossington Hall has excelled at providing excellent service in a fantastic environment. We stayed last night as a party of 17 as a surprise Golden wedding anniversary celebration for my parents. The staff at the hall went above and beyond to ensure that it was a celebration to remember. Nothing was too much trouble, the dining room was dressed beautifully and the food was delicious. Breakfast at the lodge was fabulous too. Our sincere thanks go to Debbie, Jane, Lucy, Gary and Thomas, and all the team for making our visit a memorable one and for helping to make my parents Golden anniversary celebrations extra special.”

“We stayed here NYE, the room was lovely, modernly decorated and bed was very comfortable. The staff here give such a nice warm welcome and attend to any requests. When we come back from an event early The Manager happily served us in the little bar at reception and engaged in conversation when he didn’t need to. Reasonably priced and will definitely be returning. Thank you !”

“Went for Sunday lunch when we couldn’t get in at a nearby well known pub. The food and beer was very good. The vegetables were great and cooked just right for our preference - not cooked to death like other places. The Yorkshire puddings are excellent and a volonte. Service is a bit slow on a Sunday with it being busy so we had to assert ourselves a little.”

“Beautiful Christmas Dinner, excellent variety of hot vegetables to accompany your choice of meat or poultry, generous portion of meat and roast potatoes. Seafood platter for starters was fabulous and my choice of cheesecake for dessert was yummy. Christmas pudding and chocolate brownie were alternative choices. Only downside was we were called to our table one hour after our booked sitting time. Two children in party were most well behaved despite the wait.”

“Cannot comment on the rooms as we did not stay. Went for a couple of hours after we had been suit shopping for my son's upcoming wedding. I don't drink alcohol (medical reasons) and was on Diet Coke which came in the traditional coke glass bottle rather than being 'on tap'. We also had food. I had the fish and chips with minted mushy peas. The food came within what I thought was a very reasonable time, it was well cooked and presented, hot and tasted great. No complaints.”

“A lovely hotel. Lovely view from the room and the room itself is well laid out. The reception was spacious and the receptionists were attentive. The bathroom is clean and the TV services are better than average for a hotel. Peak times it's pricey but off peak its great value. The parking is ample and it was only a short walk from the car park. Access to the hotel is by key card so you feel very secure once you are inside.”
