“We received a very friendly welcome at the campsite. We were given some tips for excursions and a short tour of the beautiful campsite. The sanitary facilities are very clean (like the rest of the campsite), there are plenty of toilets and showers. What we found particularly great: the campsite is very informal & clearly laid out. “Booked a table for 2 last night. We arrived early but were taken straight to our table. I had the pie of the day. It was lamb and mint. I swapped out the mash for chips. 10/10 for the pie, chips and vegetables. All cooked perfectly. If I could have changed anything, it would have been to serve the gravy separate. My partner had the mac & cheese. He said that was good too but did have food envy. Luckily for him the pie was so big and the chips plentiful the had some of mine too. After we had eaten, the table next to us ordered. They asked for the special menu. We were not aware of this as it was our first visit. There was something on the menu my partner would have probably chosen had he known about it. Still dose not detract from the 5* and will definitely book again next time we stay in Haltwhistle.”

“Five star service. From a three star hotel. Dinner and breakfast was lovely. Rather struggled to eat it all. Staff were all very helpfull and attentive. Was there with my dog and stayed in the anex patio doors out to a nice grassy area. Only fault I could pick up on was my shower wasn't the warmest. But that was probally due to me not being able to twizzle a knob. Thanks for a nice stay.”

The Sunday dinner is amazing, burger night is immense and the locals are incredibly friendly! We stayed in Barrasford for a second time and it was rude not to visit the Barrasford Arms - on multiple occasions throughout the week (May 2022) and we weren’t disappointed. Food delicious (we can’t recommend the Sunday dinners or Thursday night burger night enough) and the staff and locals are so friendly you feel part of the village family. Visited the Barrasford Arms when staying in the area (January 2022). Food is delicious and the staff and locals are friendly. I’d certainly recommend!”

“Book a superior room for 1 night only thank goodness nothing superior about the room standard at best I would say! We booked a table for dinner food pretty standard if you like weatherspoons. The bar closes at 10 prompt if not before then its lock down and your left to god and good neighbours. If you like nursing homes your in for a treat! As for myself and partner we won't be back and wouldn't dream of recommending it as a place to stay terrible!”
