“We had a really lovely stay here on Saturday night. We had booked for the Murder Mystery Stay, it was very well organised and such fun. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, also the grounds are stunning. We had such a warm welcome from the man on the desk (Italian) who was very helpful & pleasant. We were on the ground floor, with a door going outside. The room looked very new and was so clean. Nice touch having a small bottle of fresh milk in the fridge. We did have an evening meal & breakfast with our booking. Both meals were gorgeous and very tasty & well presented. The breakfast room is outstanding, with a view over the lawns.Checkout was simple and we had a very friendly lady on leaving the hotel. All in all a fabulous stay and would definitely return. A wedding here must be spectacular.”

I was not crazy about the pillows and their room service menu could have done with a soup, a burger option and maybe fish pie…it was mostly sandwiches and salads! Nice copious scrambled eggs on toast…I had a really lovely stay there! Breakfast menu named after their staff which is a lovely touch! One negative: poor wifi from the rooms!”

“We certainly landed on our feet in choosing this family run hotel for one night. Everyone happy to help. Nothing too much trouble. The accommodation was situated slightly away from the main building. We stayed in a prettily furnished “cottage” room which initially had no heat in the bathroom and the toilet wouldn’t flush! However, this was dealt with promptly and the heating was still on, even when we returned at midnight! That was a relief! Our breakfast was really good. Great selection of cereals and hot food on the menu. We chose a full English and Eggs Benedict! Lovely thick brown nutty toast and spreads. This set us up perfectly for the day. Thank you for everything.”

“Great hotel, great value for money and very good area. As always with Premier Inn, they are very comfortable and clean hotels. The rooms are spacious with large bed and tea and coffee making facilities and hairdryer. Bathroom is very clean and spacious. Enough towels provided with extra pillows. Lovely warm and cosy room. The service was good all staff helpful and friendly and efficient. We left our bags in store while we looked around Eastbourne as we were early to book in. The location was excellent right in the heart of Eastbourne, bus stop right outside and right in the middle of the shopping centre. Seafront is only 10 mins walk away down Terminus road. The breakfast is amazing as always cooked to order, with everything you can think of eggs can be fried, poached, scrambled or even boiled which is lovely. The sausages are very tasty and seasoned. You can even have black pudding, which a lot of hotels don't have. Plenty of tea and coffee and juices and toast and cereals available. It was so nice and warm to come home at night to such a lovely hotel where you feel so safe. When we left we left our bags in storage and when we collected them the lady was so nice as it was Christmas Eve, she said take the labels off the luggage so that people don't know that you are tourists, as you don't want to get pick pocketed while waiting for the bus, hanging about town, and she also said use the toilet before you go as you don't know what will open later, she was so thoughtful. Would definitely recommend it to anyone and would definitely stay there again.”

“We didn't stay here we just came for a meal in the restaurant. Staff were very friendly and efficient, food was excellent would definitely go back. Very cozy and intimate feel about the place, lighting nd decor was good. Good for families, couples and groups of friends. Parking is limited at times so allow for a short walk. Only two things for me that were a negative were that there was only one cider available and thatvthe print on the menu could be bigger.”

It’s also dog friendly and the breakfast was included - without a doubt the best breakfast we ever had! All in all would definitely recommend stopping in Rye and staying at the Whitehouse. The hotel is located in a lovely area however to get to it you would need to be able to drive or get a taxi, Google’s directions also weren’t great so did struggle finding the hotel!. Both check in and check out were hassle free. Highly recommend!”

“A lovely campsite! We visited for the weekend for the first wedding they have hosted at the site. The facilities are excellent with the honesty shop having anything you might need that you have forgotten. The fire pits they have available are a good size and paired with the wood they sell in the shop, you'll have a nice fire going for hours! The owners were fantastic, very friendly and nice to talk to. Will definitely be coming back another time to actually go camping, rather than living is up in one of the lodges!”

“Friendly welcoming hotel, with comfortable rooms. The bathroom is a little dated but was spotless. The breakfast was incredible. Unfortunately maybe just a issue for me, but my room must have been very close to the water tank or central heating. It was very noisy throughout the night, which ultimately effected my sleep. That being said the bed was super comfy. I'd happily stay again, but avoid room 23.”

“Had a family event here. Location was a little of a challenge to get to by car ( small lanes, with potholes). The venue was great. The conservatory space allocated to us was wonderful, especially in winter lights. Tables were beautifully laid out. Service was great and attentive. The food was mixed. The pork and venison roast meals were enjoyed. The beef roasts were mostly very pink (mine was on verge of mooing & not rested enough - still bleeding on plate). Potatoes were hard & all veg cold. The pub was very busy and it is a challenge to feed many and coordinate timings. Also, concious we were probably too noisy for other customers in venue - there were no doors (sliding doors) to separate us from others. Outside area, even though chilly, was great for kids to run around in - away from any roads etc. Overall, we had a wonderful day. Thanks.”

“I would recommend this place to stay if you are in Battle for a short time. The people working are super friendly and nice. You have complimentary tea and water in the room. If you need to refill, you have extra outside in the corridor that you can pick up. The rooms are clean and nice. The only point down for the place is that some of the rooms face the main street. You have a lot of traffic noise because that road is quite busy all the time. If you have an issue with that, maybe ask to be put in one of the rooms on the back if available. Also, the parking is a bit of a headache, so check well before going there.”
