“Absolutely loved our stay here, staff were lovely wine was delicious and breakfast also great for hikers. I'm vegan and they had rice milk and made me a fantastic cappuccino! View of the sunrise from our room was amazing. Only issues was that they ran out of got water so the shower was luke warm but I still had a fantastic experience.”

“We are a family of 5 and had an amazing stay at the hotel Savoia. The location is excellent and the breakfast is everything you could think of. We arrived with no car and nothing booked and were worried we would miss out on what the Dolomites had to offer since finding a car that fit us is hard to rent unless booked in advance. We wanted a guide but they also needed a car to drive us around in. Diana and Paulo at the concierge desk were fantastic! They did some magic and took care of everything and booked a car and a guide and we were able to visit all the main sites reachable from Cortina. Not to mention they created our full itinerary. Any help we needed they were always warm and friendly. The staff at the concierge, check in, front desk, Spa and Breakfast restaurant are the nicest people we have met on the trip. Great hotel!”

“I stayed with my sister and brother-in-law in this hotel. The room is very beautiful. The staff is 10/10. The view of the mountain is breathtaking and the spa was great. My dog was treated well. The additional bed on the room was small. I would feel more respected if the bar and restaurant checks were not handed to the man on the table but put on the middle of the table instead. Men are not the only providers nowadays. It was very sweet to have water and chocolate waiting for us in the cleaned room after dinner but the good night card with details with next day weather forecast and etc. were also directed to the man in our group even though he was not the only one organising/paying the trip. I loved this place, I had a wonderful time staying at the hotel and I do want to come back and that is why I am taking the time to write this review.”

“Fantastic location just on the Dolomiti Superski - Cortina slopes, so you can ski in and ski out in the morning (ticket office is also nearby down the slope). Building has a bar open until late for snacks and drinks. Breakfast is very good with plenty of options and the breakfast room is just overlooking the Dolomites. Plenty of parking and nice staff. Most rooms have been renovated and there is also a sauna which you can book via reception free of charge.”

“Lovely and welcoming hotel, ideally situated in the centre of Cortina. Great bar and friendly staff. The rooms were very clean and well-stocked. The ideal combination of comfort and style, without being too expensive. Only two real drawbacks : 1) The mattresses are quite hard. That’s obviously a personal preference, but it was a bit annoying; and 2) for the last few days, a scientific breakfast conference was hosted in the hotel. This meant that the paying staying guests such as myself were evicted from the main breakfast room (which has beautiful Mountain Views), and put in a small annexe. This wasn’t fair, given that one of the main reasons for staying at the hotel is the beautiful views from the breakfast room, and we weren’t warned about this in advance. But other than that, the hotel was great - we will return next year”

“We had an exceptional experience with hotel Menardi, after having issues getting to cortina from Venice on our check in date the hotel still honoured our two night stay starting a day late. The hotel staff were very welcoming and provided us with a local map and hiking recommended, arranged taxis for us and prepared good food in the restaurant. We were not expecting breakfast included however we were offered a great spread of both continental and cooked breakfast in the mornings. The hotel is around a 20 minute walk from the Main Street in cortina and has a cosy alpine lodge feel. Would definitely stay again.”

“Excellent service, very friendly and accommodating staff! All of them without exception and a special thanks to Yulia for her warm welcome. Clean, comfortable and tasteful room. Also had the best cappuccino in town here and delicious food. Will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone I know planning a visit to Cortina. Notes: a long walk to town but they offer a complimentary shuttle service from 8am to 8pm. No air conditioning in the room but they did bring me a fan. Drowned out noise from the cars in the street early in the morning and also cooled down the room for bedtime. Also as other reviews mentioned regarding the hot tub in the spa, it was not quite hot.”

“Hello! We visited Cortina D'Ampezo last month and we stayed in Radisson hotel. We booked it last minute because our prebooked hotel got closed for some weather emergency. We initially booked only one night, but we liked it that much that we decided to stay there for the rest of the time. We would like to thank and we really appreciate the hospitality of the front desk staff. They are so kind. Thank you so much, Mirela for your trips/hikes advice and all the informations you offered us. You are a star. The hotel is very clean and our room had the kitchen fully equipped. Whatever you need, you name it, you can find it there, so you can easily prepare your meal, if you like this option. The hotel is situated in the middle of the town, really easy to go for shopping or just a walk. There is also a supermarket right behind the corner, which makes life so easy. Would I go back? “We stayed over Christmas so prices were high. The staff was wonderful, but overwhelmed; especially the dining staff. We took a train from Rome and by the time we got there, after getting our things to our room we were famished and came down to get something to eat. The kitchen was closed between 3:00 and 6:00, as was pretty much every restaurant in the entire town, so that was very disappointing. The food was pricey. Maybe it is us but having traveled the world, we found the food good but not outstanding. That is a subjective evaluation; some think it is fantastic. The bar served a great afternoon pizza type snack with a cocktail. The bar from 5-7 p.m. was VERY busy. It is 'the' place to go. We did have dinner in our room one night and ordered coffee in the morning; I highly recommend it. The room service was lightning fast! 5 stars for that. We were assigned a room ending in -21; avoid them if possible. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, BUT, it was described as a Jr Suite, and not so much. Because of the hotel design, (we checked the floor plans), the -21 rooms have a pillar in the middle of the room in a very inconvenient location. When the hotel was remodeled, it is clear they were added on to get a few more 'room dollars' out of the available space. The bathrooms are the size of a shoebox; one sink, little room to move, almost no surface area to place toiletries. And unlike all the other rooms, the -21 rooms are not soundproofed. We could hear every step and voice in the hallway, and they could hear us. Also, the bathroom is right next to the door. My spouse opened the door while I was in the bathroom and a couple walking by could look in the mirror and clearly see everything going on in it. Thank goodness I was only putting things away! Also, the bathroom door did not hang right so it flew open and slammed into the bidet if not firmly shut. We could live with all that...it was the temperature control that was totally unacceptable. The minimum temperature we could get the room to without opening a window was 24.8°c. It was extremely hot and uncomfortable. The staff thought that we were too stupid to figure out how to use the thermostat; not the case. They came in to look at it and even they couldn't get the thermostat to go below 21. Even set at 21, the room remained at 23.8. The staff tried to convince us and it was because it was too warm outside. (8°). When we just turned it off in frustration, the room got even hotter; 24.8. ??? We finally just ended up leaving it off completely and cracking two windows to get the room down to 19°. We left one cracked all night in order to sleep. Which led to the other issue: noise. We purposely chose the location, pretty much in the center of the shopping district, so that we could walk to restaurants and shops if we wanted to. Having the window open meant we had to listen to people in the streets all night. Also, this hotel is directly across from the clock tower. We were on the back side of the hotel, but the front side faces the clock tower directly. Let me assure you, the clock tower is fully operational. Not accurate, but operational. And they are proud of those bells. Until ten at night. If you want quiet, I would not recommend this location. To those who are looking to ski; there was little snow and what there was was icy. We chose not to ski. However, several at the hotel did ski and getting to shuttles looked incredibly easy and convenient. All in all we would give it a 3.5; overpriced room, noisy and not all that comfortable. Other rooms may be better. The staff gets a 4.5, (in their defense, they worked very long hours and the hotel was full). The food gets a 3.5 for quality to price. The cleaning staff a 4, (our shower body wash was empty the entire 5 night stay). Room service a 5 and location a 5 but that is based on what we wanted. For less noise and crowds, choose a different location. We try to be exceedingly fair in our evaluations because people reading reviews know what is important to them. We hope this helps.”
