Also ideal for cross-country skiing, which is just across from the hotel. Breakfast is very nice and dinner in a generous portion. We do recommend and we would come back!!:)”

“Amazing hotel and staff The food is absolutely amazing 10/10 would recommend reserving half board only for the Amazing dinner. The staff are so welcoming and happy, makes the stay so much better and nice. The room was big and the bathroom aswell, great shower and amenities. It's close to the central ski school and many ski lifts and offers a locker for your ski gear. The spa is quiet and nice, relaxing and warm, would recommend the mint shower, superb.”

“Fantastic Hotel, all of the staff were so helpful and courteous, even providing us with a picnic each as we left before 7am, a lovely touch. Food lovely, wine fantastic and very reasonable. As a last comment we loved the visits to the bar of some local dogs, really lovely for us dog lovers. We loved the walk along the river in to the town, great when we didn’t ski. “The restaurant was somehow anost and sad, no atmosfere, no music. We felt ...unwanted. Personnel was distracted, not careful towards clients, being preocupated by filling some tables. No recommendation on food or drink. They comes by our table from time to time, they forget to bring the food for a fellow. A chemical parfum was obsessive surrounding us during the dinner. The food was good (pasta with truffles).”

“Great experience. Personnel was very friendly, polite, and professional. Vittorio and Rabi really contributed to our good experience. Very tasty dinners, with fancy food and beautiful presentation for most of dishes. The Ester dinner was outstanding. Amazing wine card! Very nice spa, with sauna, steam room, salt room with swings, warm outside swimming pool. There are a few minor remarks: some rooms are a bit old, but the hotel is being renovated and more modern rooms are available for higher price. For breakfast I was missing vegetables. Forks and knives were placed very close together, so a plate couldn't fit without moving the cutlery. The only dish with not a nice presentation that we had was roasted veel with potatoes. The rest of the dishes was very beautiful.”

Breakfast is copious and for everyone, dinner is best quality and high level. If you want a hotel near town, silent and relaxing; this is the place to be. Laundry service, bicycle service in the basement, everything is there for a sportive stay in the Italian Alps. Do you want to rent a bike or do you need a guide, everything can be arranged. Best price - quality ratio. Recommend for everyone, young and old!!”

“When you first arrive at the hotel for a ski trip, the girl working at the reception doesn't explain anything, she just gives you the door card and you don't give any more information, you have to ask everything. There is also no culture at the reception, never saying hello. The rooms are old fashioned and need restoration. The bedding set is suitable for children, if you are +180 cm tall, the ends of your legs will fall off. Bad experience 2/5…”

“We’ve been going to Livigno on vacation for almost 40 years, mostly in winter, this time at the end of summer, we have been to three-star hotels and even simple Garni and it had never happened to us not to have heat and hot water in our room for one and a half days. It has also never happened before that at 9:45 pm, while playing cards next to the bar, they would switch off the lights (Francisca) and tell us “sorry, we have to close”. The following night, just to make sure they wouldn’t have the same issue, at 10 pm the bar area was already closed. I had asked the first day to arrange a little surprise with some decorations and a cake for my parents anniversary at breakfast the day before last of our stay. In the morning, at our table, there was no decoration or anything. The manager from the kitchen was nice, she apologized as she had been away, and had them make a small cake for us on the spot. The gym was also out of service as the main workout machine was broken and the bikes that are available for customers were very basics and some of them needed maintenance. The owner didn’t even apologized or tried to make up for all the issues we had. The hotel is in a great location, has good breakfast, and especially chef Nowes is great. The cleaning ladies on the floor were also very nice. Other than that I do not recommend Hotel Posta. Livigno is beautiful and deserves to be enjoyed at a better hotel. Posta is certainly not worth four stars.”

“The food and service are awful. I ordered alla Matriciana with spaghetti and they brought something close to macaronni and with onion even though in the menu they didn't mention they included that. They changed it with some carbonara but at the end they added both of them on the check and I had to talk with the manager about the situation. As far as I am aware this is not how it is done in a normal restaurant, if they offer to change your plate, you shouldn't pay both of them.”
