The Heritage Chiang Rai Hotel And Convention

สันทราย 199 หมู่ 13 Phaholyothin Rd, Tambon Tha Sai, Mueang Chiang Rai District, Chiang Rai 57000, Thailand

“Comfortable hotel away from all tourist places. To explore the city, it is located far enough to comfortably reach the city center or attractions on foot. close to all key locations. The view from the windows will not please you with anything interesting. Due to the high number of floors in the rooms, there is not so much noise from the highway on which the hotel is located. There is an outdoor swimming pool, comfortably located in a closed area, and a private park with jogging tracks. The rooms and public areas are very clean and comfortable. The corridors on the floors are wide. Public spaces look stylish and pompous; the cafe in the lobby, designed in the style of a library, deserves special attention. The beds in the room are wide, mattresses and linens are of high quality. Air conditioners are silent. The sleep was very comfortable. The room is equipped with a tea station and bottles of water. The hotel staff is very polite and hospitable. I would like to make special mention of the young man who worked our shift. Breakfast at the hotel is good and varied, but skewed towards guests from the Asian region. Water pressure and temperature are very good. There were no problems with the plumbing, but I was unpleasantly surprised by the short wall in the shower stall, due to which the bathroom area was significantly flooded. broken hose to the shower head. On the negative side, I would like to note the ironing board, which I had to get, it looked very shabby and worn out, not up to the standard of the hotel. I was also slightly surprised that for the need to print out a sheet of paper they asked for a small, but additional payment. For a hotel of this level of positioning, this is quite strange. Overall, the stay at the hotel was comfortable. We recommend.”

Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort

229, Wiang, Chiang Saen District, Chiang Rai 57150, Thailand

“Did the all-inclusive explorer package, with a night in the family bubble. The property is great, and the location in the Golden Triangle is perfect. The spa is fair, but the masseuses are rather good. The food dishes were rather good. Walking with the Giants is neat, except for a group of 6 to 10 people with you though. The place has some obvious downfalls and oddities I would not have expected, and you feel it throughout the stay. Most of it was a reflection of poor management and leadership on the property, not a reflection on the person trying to provide the services. The all-inclusive option was a mess. Was a fixed menu with alcohol and premium foods not included. Food service would take hours. There would be no one in a restaurant yet if you didn't raise your hand and try to make things happen, nothing would. They also ran an event one night, causing you to pay for the same food options while closing the restaurant, forcing you to pay for food one of your all-inclusive nights. You would have several different people come to your table immediately after sitting, but somehow multiple times still did not get your drinks. They ask you to show up about 15 minutes before an activity to have a drink. Expect to show up, not be able to get your drink, and then for them to be late with the activity too. There is a new casino. It's rather loud. Don't expect to sleep well in the bubble because of this. It's more quiet in the actual rooms. In general, the bubble was a neat offering, and luxurious, yet I was rather disappointed in the bubble experience. The butler didn't know anything about the elephants except their names and ages. The rooms are fair. There is a massive tub/shower setup. This doesn't drain water perfectly so it creates a funky damp cave smell. Room service behavior was odd. We had to leave notes to refill the mini fridge and stupid stuff like that or they wouldn't do it, which also negates the all-inclusive aspect. I do my best to not drink alcohol. There was kombucha in the mini-fridge, but when I asked for it no one had any idea what it was or that they served it. The front desk called at 10:30 PM, waking us up, to say our checkout time was moved 30 minutes earlier. That would be fine if we were checking out the following day, but we were not, we had days. They could have contacted us at any normal time or next interaction. Upon leaving, the driver arranged by the hotel was 20 minutes late anyway, so it was rather meaningless.”

“Perfect service with great and super friendly staff, the 'tents' are outstanding, the drinks at the Burma bar tasty, go for the excursion on the river/at the market, get a massage and, last but not least, spend a maximum time with the elephants!!! The sancturay really helps these great giants. 🥰🥰🥰”

Chiangkhong Teak Garden Riverfront Hotel

( 8 reviews )
Closed until 02:00 PM

666 Moo 8 Sai Klang Rd Wiang, Chiang Khong District, Chiang Rai 57140, Thailand

“The Teak Garden Riverfront hotel gets points for location, but there are some downsides that need to be considered. Overall the rooms are relatively small and the sound-proofing between rooms is terrible. We were next to a family, and we heard the children non-stop. It was pretty terrible. Also, the breakfast had potential, but was not well looked after as large groups grazed before us. And the generator (and the 80 db noise kicked in while we were eating). It’s too bad, as the service, riverside restaurant, and location are not bad. But the overall experience was a 3 star at best.”

The Imperial Golden Triangle Resort

222 ตําบล เวียง Tambon Wiang, Chiang Saen District, Chiang Rai 57150, Thailand

“It's a 3 star so you can't expect the best of anything but I was happy with the large room and bed. It was clean and comfortable but you may have trouble showering if you're 6ft+. The negative thing is strange socket placement, rather old fittings, no hand-soap and 1 ply toilet paper. Breakfast was disappointing as it's the same stuff everyday, couldn't have any bacon but they have low quality ham squares and processed sausages. Also, I'm quite sensitive to egg quality and I could tell from their omelette and fried egg it was really low grade stuff. The provided thai breakfast was better but again, the two days I tried, it's repeated everyday so it's boring after 1 day. Service is good and had no problems with my interactions with staff, check-in and check-out was quick and easy. Forgot to say, the location is great too. For the price it's a good option but don't expect too much for the price. The main thing is comfy and clean room. Reading other reviews, I agree with water systems are loud and disturbing but the hotel wasn't very busy during my stay.”

“[Update] The hostel management responded to my issues in less than an hour. They put shampoo and body wash in the shower, replaced the hair dryer. On the way out, they told me the housekeeper had been suspended for 15 days and apologized for the inconvenience. That's great service and we do appreciate the prompt response! --------------------------------- Stayed here 4 nights in a private room. We kept wondering why this hostel got really high rating. Pros: - Great location, near by a lot of things so very convenient - Clean (for the most part) - The room is spacious - Give you a bottle of water each day Cons: - The bed is hard like a rock. It's very uncomfortable and hurt sleeping on it. - When I used the bathroom, 95% of the time I'd walk into a toilet that had poop or pee. I don't understand why. - The hairdryer doesn't work and half of it is deformed, the front is melted. I don't think it's safe to use it. - The sink is partially clogged => dirty - No shampoo or body wash in the shower - Their free breakfast is just sandwich bread and jam.”
