Top 5 Hotels in Braga District
Av. Sobral Castelo 76, 4730-102 Cervães, Portugal
“I would not recommend massages at the spa. We did not feel the level of care or attention we are used to - and at such a high price I would save your time and money. We booked 90 minute couples treatment with facial at 5pm, arriving early so we could utilize the sauna and Turkish bath, only one of which was available to use. By 5:45, we were wondering what was going on and why we weren’t being called back, finally they came to take us to the treatment room. We soaked our feet for five minutes (in a bowl too small for my partner’s feet) and waited again for their return. They never asked us how the pressure was, and we were leaving the room by 6:55. That isn’t 90 minutes of service, so we feel overcharged and disappointed. I heard so much walking around during the treatment, I actually thought another person was in the room - after I learned it was my partner’s therapist. It isn’t relaxing to be vulnerable on a table while people walk around a room, they should have been better prepared for the price of this treatment. At one point, the music turned off and it took discussion and several clicks to get it back. It was really not up to the quality we are used to, and I expected even more considering we never spend 300 euro on massage treatment. I would say get a massage elsewhere, it felt like this was a training and not a professional service. We mentioned our disappointment at the end and they just ignored us. Also, this hotel is not secluded. You are near town so unfortunately dogs barked all through the night and you could hear it through the tower room windows. I would recommend this hotel put white noise machines in their rooms - I could still hear the dogs barking through my ear plugs. The mattress in the tower room is the worst I’ve experienced and the duvet smelled like sweaty men. Needs a deep cleaning. The grounds are beautiful. The receptionist was so kind. Dinner was amazing - they made me a special vegan meal very easily and without fuss. I just want to warn others to save your money on the spa and avoid.”
Largo do Terreiro - Santa Maria do Bouro, 4720-633 Amares, Portugal
“Amazing place for a wedding! You can even have the whole pace for your guests. Besides the history of the place, a portuguese national heritage site, you also get the most amazing photos there.”
Av. da Caniçada nº 1518, 4850-054 Caniçada - Gerês, Portugal
“We felt a million miles away from the heat wave, tourists and traffic once we arrived. It felt like a cozy cabin, very fresh with an exceptional view. Our room was so cozy, with a fantastic bed. The a/c was excellent and quiet. I loved that …”
Pereiró, 185, 4845-076, Portugal
“LOVED everything about this place. The staff were phenomenal and so kind. The rooms were comfortable. The views were stunning. The breakfast was delicious. There was always parking available. It was better than the 4 and 5 star hotels I’ve been to. Thank you for a wonderful stay!”
Quinta do Fundão, 4830-065 Póvoa de Lanhoso, Portugal
“Hotel was very nice. Good place. Nice service. Friendly people. Breakfast was not bad. Dinner in the restaurant was good and you should 1000% try thief vinho da casa. We live in Porto and wanted to buy 2 bottles for us to have at home, but we forgot it((( Only 1 concern - the swimming pool was very “tired” and black mould in some Places. And the area near need to be cleaner, my husband hurt his feet with a piece of glass.”
R. Arnaçó 58, 4845-063, Portugal
“The rooms are clean and nice. View is amazing! The breakfast could be a bit better, but you get what you pay for - cheap option for Geres! Staff is lovely!”
4860-422 Cambeses, Portugal
“Pleasant stay in a family atmosphere, with a fantastic landscape and points of interest to visit. The accommodation was taken care of, cleanliness and meals without any negative comments. Definitely an experience to repeat”
Travessa do Barroco 75 Vilar da Veiga, 4845-076 Geres, Portugal
“Our time at Selina Gerês was really incredible. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The yoga in the mornings was fantastic. The food was also very good. Probably ideal to have a car but even though we did not have one the staff coordinated with a gentleman who runs a taxi service in town to come pick us up and drop us off. The taxi prices were really good and the staff made our experience a breeze. We would definitely stay here again and hope to come back to enjoy more nature!”
Av. Central 134, 4710-229 Braga, Portugal
“Old used furniture in the rooms with poor maintenance. I had to request to turn ventilation off due to the motor noise. Clearly overated. IT should be rated at maximum two stars, not four.”
Av. Marginal Cedovém 18, 4740-060 Apúlia, Portugal
“CMB Guesthouse is a fine hotel for short stays of 1 or 2 nights. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, but there is a construction site nearby, resulting in a less-than-ideal view. Additionally, the breakfast offerings are somewhat disappointing. One important note to consider is that the hotel does not provide parking facilities. Guests will need to find street parking nearby, which can be challenging depending on the area's availability. Consider it for a quick stopover, but not for an extended stay, especially if you have a vehicle.”
