“We had a wonderful thanksgiving weekend at the resort. We upgraded our room to a signature suite with water views. Our room was beautifully decorated with a fireplace, comfortable and well worth the extra charge. The food and service was stellar. From room service to eating at Twenty Eight Atlantic, we indulged in fresh seafood and unique cocktails. Special thanks to Gerri who was kind and thoughtful to offer us snacks and water for our trip back to the airport. 5-star experience!”

“Salem Cross Inn is definitely a special occasion place. It has a tiny tavern in the basement with a small intimate bar near a cozy fireplace that looks out onto the endless pastures & wildflower gardens. Evan always checks in to make sure you’re taken care of. Tyler & Heather the bartenders are extremely hospitable & always remember you. They have a lovely ever changing specials menu along with their standard options that are difficult enough to pick from as they are all so amazing. The Duck is crispy & decadent , the catfish ( a special ) melted in your mouth accompanied by jalapeño cheddar grits!!! Every dinner comes with their delectable squash muffins ( which are great for breakfast with coffee!). They have an amazing Caesar salad -perfectly dressed. If you are looking for a cozy date night place with attention to detail you will not be disappointed!”

“Loved everything about my stay here, came from Maryland in May 2023 for an entire week. Have no complaints. We had the two bedroom two bathroom suite. The room was great. The free breakfast was wonderful. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Location was great, very close to 95. Easy access to stores (Target, Walgreens etc) Will stay there again if I return to the area.”

“The Archer hotel was a so-so stay for my husband and I. When we first got there, the man who greeted us to check-us in ignored us for a solid minute as we stood there and then rudely said one minute finally as we still waited hands full of bags. He was not the most friendly person for us to encounter after 6 hours of driving. Nonetheless, the hotel itself was nice and atmosphere seemed cool. The room was clean, but very much on the small side. The bed was comfortable enough, but the pillows were way too soft for our liking (personal preference of course). The biggest drawback though is the noise. The rooms are VERY much not sound proof and we heard everything going on out in the hall. This was quite annoying especially when it was 11 AM and we heard some lady cursing out drunk in the hall. Also, there was only 1 wireless phone charger in the room and no cables for the plug-ins. We had to bring cables in from our car to be able to charge both our phones. The slippers in the bathroom were a nice bonus, but nothing crazy just thin bottoms. Overall, we would not stay again, but it was a decent enough for our needs.”

“My family booked this location for a less than happy occasion. We were burying my father. My mom wanted a venue for his celebration of life where those of us traveling from some distance would have a convenient place to stay and gather together. This hotel was that, and so much more. Our entire family was able to be together, which would have been enough, but the staff? Words can't accurately describe how incredible everyone was. They were so kind and attentive to the needs of every single family member. Rose, Noah, and several others whose names I can't remember really went above and beyond for us. Every single staff member we interacted with was exceptional from front desk, to housekeeping, to restaurant. I've stayed in a lot of hotels, and the actual property is pretty. The rooms were clean, and the outdoor space highlighted New England autumn beautifully, but it was truly the staff that made this place stand out as exceptional. Huge thank you to every member of the team! You made my mom cry happy tears more times than I could count, and turned this unhappy occasion into something I can remember with a smile.”

“My husband and I spent the Christmas Holiday at Devonfield Inn; it was our third stay and will definitely not be our last. Doug and Jim are both hospitable and go above and beyond exceptional service. From check-in to check-out, we were always satisfied. We began our holiday experience with a tour of the Inn's Holiday decor with Doug, followed by a holiday happy hour featuring wine, cheese, a live piano performance, and Christmas tunes sung by Doug, Jim, and the guests. The gourmet breakfast Jim prepared for us each morning was one of the many highlights of our trip. Prepare yourself; a sweet or savory breakfast feast always follows a delicious cake starter. The waistline may be unhappy, but the tastebuds will be thrilled. Another highlight is Doug's loop and favorite hike; there is much to enjoy! Most helpful staff member from many Marriott stays we have had over the years. Building is older, but very clean, and the staff have good attention to detail and it shows. My only complaint was the room I was in was extremely stuffy, almost like the heat was on full blast. I ended up needing to put the air on. I wish there was a little more variety with breakfast, but I can't really complain since it's complimentary.”
