Also, Kelvin, the hardest working man in hotel business makes the best drinks of which you get three free ones every night of your stay. “Resort Lodge Joe Wheeler State Park 4401 McLean Drive Rogersville, Alabama 35652 Hidden gem amidst a very nice state park, with lots of amenities and fun things to keep a Family of Couple entertained. Lodge itself will remind you of going back a few years, but very clean and with a friendly staff. At Check-In, our Receptionist was super friendly and wonderful at explaining both the lodge, and the wide variety of activities and ‘things to do’ in the park. Lots of brochures, free coffee and seating areas in the foyer to sit and relax. Rooms are nicely furnished and each have a balcony with two chairs overlooking the lake. In-room refrigerators, micro-wave oven and dining table with chairs. Very typical hotel room, free WiFi and Direct TV; in-room coffee maker and coffee. The Lodge has a enclosed outdoor swimming pool with lounge chairs. The Lodge has an attached restaurant - Daniella’s, that offers breakfast, lunch and dinner meals. Service was both buffet style and off-the-menu, they also serve beer. Their hours of operation are seasonal, recommend calling prior - regardless, their are several restaurants within a few miles from the park. A complete listing was available at the Reception Desk. The State Park and the Resort Lodge were absolutely phenomenal and well worth the value. We strongly recommend a stay - booking on-line was easy and the rates were well below the cost of an average hotel room.”

“My husband and I had to travel to Winfield on 10/20/2023 so we chose this hotel due to the reviews and location. We were there to put our daughter and unborn child to rest that passed on that prior Monday. We arrived at this hotel after noon proceeded to check in. As AARP members our room was priced at $150. We paid cash and was then told their door key machine was down and they would have to let us in our room. After entering the room I noticed a very strong odor of urine from the bathroom floor. I called the desk and a young lady came in and sprayed something in the toilet which did no good. After 4 hours I went back to the desk and asked if we could have our room key and was told they could not make keys till Tuesday! I then get an alert from my bank showing that this hotel charged my debit card $216.52. I immediately went back to the desk and the lady assured me it was just a hold and after the night audit it would come off my card. This morning we wake up to bury our daughter and unborn child to only find the charge still on my card. I again go back to the desk and was informed that the lady that checked us in not only took the cash but charged the card!!! The lady said “I will call my GM and get this fixed” this was at 10am. After the funeral we went back due to not receiving a call that this was corrected and was told that the Assistant Manager was going to fix it. This was already so unbelievable heartbreaking why we were there and now we have to deal with this! As of 6pm we still have not heard from this hotel nor has our debit card been credited back.”

“Our stay in Hotel Indigo was memorable beyond measure. The staff made us feel like it was a home away from home. Their kindness and courtesy made our stay wonderful. The room we stayed in was stunning. We were able to see the ocean and had a balcony to enjoy the view of the ocean and beautiful sunsets every day. The location of Hotel Indigo was perfect. We were able to get to the beach, shops and to food with a very short drive. We will be staying at this wonderful hotel again very soon. We will never be able to thank the Manager Lisa and all of the other staff enough for making our stay unforgettable.”

“I unfortunately am unable to give a good review on my stay at this hotel. Although the hospitality was great from the lady at the front desk, I found a bed bug crawling across the bed in my room on the 4th floor. I took pictures and videos and she confirmed that it was indeed a bed bug. To my knowledge no action has been taken to resolve the issue. I spoke with Hilton and they were supposed to get back in contact with me and I never heard back from them. Very disappointing because when I travel I always try to stay at a Hilton property.”

“Stopped in on vacation. Very nice clean. Got a suite room it was nice comfy bed. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The room rate was fair. The University is in walking distance walked around checked out the history. Was a bar and restaurant but it was closed when i arrived. Parking wasn't bad either. Would stay again.”
