“Loved my stay here. This was my first ever time staying in a hostel, and it was exactly what I needed. Friendly employees, good spaces to study/work, good security, great food! I only had one roommate in my 6 person dorm, so that was fine but I can't speak for the full experience of all travelers. The buildings seem very historic and fit neatly into the landscape of NW Portland. I feel very happy now knowing that I have a cheap place to stay and feel welcome if I'm ever back in Portland again.”

“A very enjoyable stay and a great property. I stayed two nights, and the staff here are very customer service oriented. Tina at the front desk was the highlight of my stay, assisting me with questions before I had even arrived at the hotel. Upon arrival, she was very nice and provided me a list of the best restaurants in town along with things to do. The room was extremely clean, spacious, and comfortable with a great view. The parking situation was very easy, and there is a great sushi place just a few yards away! This hotel has a nice pool, gym, and hot tub, and is perfect for families. Everyone from the breakfast staff to the managers, to the housekeepers were on top of it. Thank you again Tina! I will definitely be back.”

“This is by far the nicest Best Western I have ever stayed in! We got upgraded to a lovely suite with a jacuzzi tub and a fireplace. The room was extremely clean and comfortable. We could watch the alpacas roam from the comfort of our room. The catered breakfast was delicious! The surroundings were so peaceful and quiet. We loved how dog friendly they are and the location is just a short walk to town on nice paved walking/biking paths. If we ever come back to Sisters, we would definitely stay here again!”

“We leave on Sunday 8/20, after being here a month. We reserved late and ended up moving 9 times in a month, however, that just indicates how much we love it here by moving so many times just to be able to stay. The grounds, restrooms and facilities are all super clean. For the most part, the staff are all amazing and so friendly. We only came across one who has not been the kindest, but we never know one’s story as to why they are in the mood they are in. We got to know Barbara, Diane & Heather in the office who have been exceptionally kind and helpful to us. Tracy & Sue (and her husband)… and not to forget Willow (Tracy’s fur baby) and so many other camp-hosts have been above amazing and go the extra mile to help when needed. After being here a month, you truly get to know the staff and they are overall outstanding! This Spring & Summer we have camped from Texas to New Mexico, Colorado, Nebraska, Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota, South Dakota, Montana, Idaho and here to Oregon. We have stayed at many resorts, campgrounds and even Vineyards during our journey. All have been either good, awesome or outstanding, excluding one… Although Winchester Bay Resort has been the most expensive… it is our very, very favorite and so much worth the cost. Take a walk up to the lighthouse, walk down to Lake Marie and have lunch then walk the mile walk around the lake, visit the many restaurants Winchester Bay has to offer, listen to music at The Blue Box, relax, fish and/or play cards or board games while listening to the seagulls… Winchester Bay Resort is a piece of Heaven on earth ❤️. We have reserved a spot for the entire month of August 2024”

“So many special details at this hotel! It's a very sweet place. Everything in Seaside is walkable, and they've got nice bikes too. We took advantage of the hot tub and fire pits, it's not fancy but very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was fairly generous and the service is warm and attentive, more I can say than most places in Oregon. I loved the free DVD library, really cute.”

“I choose hotels that have working indoor hot tubs for personal reasons related to disability. I always call first to ensure the pool area is fully up and running. Ive had too many experiences with booking a hotel w/ an indoor pool/hot tub only to find out they are out of order or under construction. The phone person said “the pools have never not worked in all my years working here, but I’ll check” and then confirmed they were working. So I booked a room and arrived that night. The hot tub was not working (had an out of order sign posted) and the pool was not heated. There is also the matter with the clogging toilets that I see is a common issue. Everything else was lovely, including the beds, pillows, and the breakfast. Seriously great breakfast. But feeling lied to about the pool really dampened the whole experience. I was hoping the person would ask how my stay was so I could share. I believe it was the same guy who I spoke with on the phone so I didn’t speak up otherwise. I was hoping for an email to leave feedback but I don’t even think they got my email 🤷‍♂️”

“This is one of those times when I've debated leaving a review because of considering whether it's better to keep it to myself and not tell everyone how amazing it is. My husband and I decided to treat ourselves to a little getaway instead of purchasing presents for each other this holiday. We drove down from WA and arrived shortly after dark so haven't even had a chance to explore the grounds, trails, or adorable town of Sisters nearby that was all decked out with lights as we drove through. Check-in was smooth and easy, and we were given cards to fill out for requesting our breakfast to be delivered to our rooms in the mornings during our stay. We easily found our Serenity cabin a short distance from parking and rushed in out of the cold. The room was preheated and every bit as nice as we hoped. More incredible and thoughtful details than I can even list, including the cutest little journal for guests to write experiences in and leave for future guests. It was so fun skimming through to see everything from people recording game night scores to writing about their memorable wedding and vacation experiences! We ventured out for a short walk to the lodge to get a lovely bath bomb and some DVDs for later, then to Three Creeks Brewery for dinner and sat in the bar area. Everything about this experience was absolutely great! The bartender who waited on us was perfect. She was friendly, engaged, attentive and thoughtful. We ordered cups of clam chowder and shared a 3 piece fish and chips and thoroughly enjoyed every bite along with our Sisters hard seltzers. We ordered a 6 pack of them to take back to our room with us, then decided to have some marionberry cobbler for dessert. The bartender added everything to the tab and waited until we were ready to leave before bringing the drinks for us to take so they stayed cold. The dessert was incredible and so big we couldn't finish, so she brought separate containers for the cobbler and ice cream for us to save for later. After getting back to our room, I enjoyed soaking in the tub next to the gas fireplace while we watched a movie, then my husband tried out the shower, and we both snuggled into the wonderfully comfy robes provided in the room after putting on some of the great smelling and nicely moisturizing Shibui spa green tea lemongrass lotion. I am writing this as we are relaxing before bed thoroughly enjoying our experience so far and unable to imagine our 2nd day being better than the first, but excited to visit the spa for a couples massage and maybe head to the theatre for a movie. A wonderful start to what we expect to be an incredible experience and already planning our next visit! Can't wait to make this a regular tradition!”

“I have stayed all over the world and my stay here was my favorite hotel experience ever! We even decided to book an additional night just because it was so magical. The view from our room was spectacular. The staff was phenomenal. Yes, Andy! He’s a treasure that really cares about making your experience first class. They all do. I could gush on and on really. Super clean. Smells yummy. Amenities rocked. Location was walking distance to anything you may need. Be careful of the Patisserie across the street. We walked out of there stuffing our faces every morning we were there!!!”

The location is excellent, right off the river easy access for jogging and to downtown. Lobby is nicely appointed and rooms are cozy and warm. Will stay again.”
