“All you can ask for, large rooms, great internet connection, in room TV, near the zoo, quiet at night, large parking spots, all you can eat buffet, a separate bistro and restaurant and friendly staff. We are at the Veracruz restaurant and the food was good-so was the wine. Only advice to management, don’t push on the Mexican stereotypes so much, as a Chilean, I thought the music was “too stereotypical”, there’s no need for that - the hotel is beautiful enough”

“Spent one night here during a seminar. The theme is lovely and very relaxing. The place is very quiet as there is no busy roads or other habitation nearby. Food was very tasty with high quality ingredients. However the breakfast was quite limited, only ham, hard egg and cheese for “salty” option. I wish there were some beans, vegetables and eventually smoked salmon. But for a 10€ breakfast, if you only eat sweet food, I guess you will be satisfied. Staff was well trained and professional. Plenty of parking spots. Room was spacious and nicely decorated. The king size bed was extremely comfortable. The soundproofing between rooms was not good.”

“First off it says it’s a 3 star hotel. It is not. It is a 4.5 star hotel without a doubt!!! And the staff make it feel VIP for they are so lovely! All the ladies at the front desk, the sweet breakfast woman too! The hotel itself is something else- just wait until you see the view!!!! Just WoW! It’s like 3 min from the train station and they have a shuttle to take you. Our room was full of wood like a cabin feel, so nice, with a beautiful modern bathroom. It was simple super cozy, kind of perfectly romantic for New Years Eve while it snowed huge snowflakes outside. For a longer stay I’d splurge for a bigger room but for one night it was perfect! The view of the Grace hotel lit up, the NYE fireworks, and the lake off the balcony was just awesome (room 408). The whisky bar is incredible and the fact you can smoke a cigar inside there it’s fantastic!”

“During a recent visit to the Relais Saint-Jacques, we stopped by to charge our Tesla at the Supercharger and enjoy a quick coffee and sandwich. Unfortunately, the experience was marred by an incident that left us feeling unwelcome and uncomfortable. The setting of the Relais Saint-Jacques is undoubtedly charming, and we were hoping for a pleasant break during our journey. The opportunity to recharge our vehicle while enjoying a meal seemed ideal. However, our encounter with one particular waiter cast a shadow over our brief visit. Regrettably, the treatment we received from this waiter was far from welcoming. From the moment we entered, we were met with what felt like condescending glances and an air of indifference. It became apparent that our intention to have a coffee and sandwich was met with disapproval, as if we were somehow out of place or undeserving of such amenities. It is disheartening to be made to feel this way, especially as we were looking to enjoy a simple meal during a pit stop. Regardless of the nature of the visit, every guest should be treated with courtesy and respect. Our experience with this waiter was a stark contrast to the kind of service one would expect at a reputable establishment. In conclusion, our visit to the Relais Saint-Jacques was regrettably marked by an unwelcoming encounter with a waiter. I hope that this feedback serves as a reminder of the importance of consistently providing respectful and courteous service to all patrons, regardless of the purpose of their visits”

“This was by far the best Mecure hotel I have stayed at. It is in a beautiful historic building & has been renovated superbly. The decor is modern but works so well. The room was a great size & beautifully furnished with very comfortable bed. The staff were excellent from check in to check out. Definitely recommend a night or 2 at Hotel de Bourbon.”
