“Papagayo Beach Resort is a nice play to stay. Location is great and do recommend to include breakfast at the beach (nice). Very big balconies. Daily free clean beach towels & cleaning of the villas. When you want a late checkout, try to fix it with the booking as locally it will be promised but at the end you can be left empty handed (our experience). Nevertheless very nice and professional staff. It is a vibrant area with popular beaches so you can expect some noice from the beach restaurants on Fri / Sat. Does end on time. Villas only have AC in the bedrooms, other areas don’t have it but you won’t miss it. Very clean. All in all, great stay. Nice people.”

“My bf surprised me with a beautiful birthday dinner last week at this beautiful place. Walking in, I was instantly impressed with the attention to detail and warmth of the staff. We were met by a lovely young woman and she offered us drinks and let us walk around while we awaited the dinner service. The ambience of this place was unbelievable. It truly felt like we entered an enchanted island! We sat right by the water with little kayaks lit 🔥 Dinner was unbelievable! Every dish was better than the next. We cannot wait to visit again and stay at this resort. Thank you to the team for making this an unforgettable experience 🩷”

Friendly Staff: The staff at the inn was exceptionally warm and welcoming, always ready to assist and provide recommendations for local attractions and dining options. 3. Well-Maintained Grounds: The property is well-maintained, with lovely gardens and a pool area that's ideal for unwinding. 4. Comfortable Rooms: The rooms were comfortable and clean, providing a good night's sleep. While they may not be overly luxurious, they offered a pleasant and quiet stay. 5. “Simply the highest quality Caribbean resort experience. The ability to text reception with questions, restaurant reservations, and requests was the keystone to making our experience so enjoyable. They’re available 24 hours a day to help you with whatever you may need. We stayed in one of the Luxury Suites with breakfast included in our rate - it is 100% worth the extra money to stay here. Not only do you get a guaranteed cabana every day of your stay in the VIP section of Cabana Beach, where there is a dedicated bar for guests staying in the suites, but you’re closer to everything at the resort- you’re situated steps away from the beach, the restaurants, and have easier access to get to Mambo Beach, which is full of shops and restaurants. You also get free water in your cabana daily. (Tip- Cabanas 804-801 are the best Cabanas at the resort- have them reserve one of them for you for your entire stay before you arrive.) The breakfast at Cabana Beach is excellent; they give you a checklist to create a spread. The rooms are impeccably cleaned and housekeeping will be there twice a day to make sure it’s looking like you just checked in at all times. The resort in general is beautiful. We were originally concerned when we booked that it looked “too good to be true” because of how beautiful the photos were; the photos don’t actually do it justice with how stunning it actually is. Grounds are beautifully overgrown with tropical plants, and the beach has the bluest water you will ever see. You’ll feel taken care of here - the staff will get to know you, what you like, and how they can make your stay memorable. Nothing short of a 5 star experience. “The location is GREAT its like a 4 minute walk to mambo beach blvd and the beach with great shops and a few good resturants. The front desk woman was great. She even went out of her way to help us get a rental and offered tips on where to get gas and shop. The security guards were friendly as well. The bungalow we had was spacious and included a fridge, stove and cooking utensils. We had a back porch with a table, a few nights we ate outside on the back porch. The only thing is the bathroom needs updating. The toliet looked run down and was stained.”

“Beautiful spot. Visited for a week and stayed in a superior apartment with the open living room concept. Was initially not sure, but ended up really liking it. We were traveling with our twins (7 months) and the staff (restaurants, housekeeping, etc.) was always helpful and accommodating. The cribs and high chairs were of good quality. It was also great to do night dives right off the resort.”

“This was our 3rd Sandals vacation & quite possibly the nicest resort. But sadly, it’s just not up to par yet. The service was definitely lacking & while this wouldn’t typically impact our trip, both my husband & I got food poisoning separately. My husband’s was so severe that I wanted to take him to the hospital but he insisted on waiting until we got back home. UPDATE: We just received my husbands test results back upon returning home. He had salmonella poisoning. The best part of our trip was the scuba diving which was absolutely beautiful. Everyone at the Aqua Center was great. We took some extra courses & our instructor Roderick was awesome. If you don’t care about the quality of the food & service, then I’d say it’s still worth it. But if you’re in it for 5-star service & food, give it some time. Lastly, it is still under construction so depending where your room is, you’ll probably still hear noise quite early in the morning & sometimes at night. Overall, great potential, just not there yet :(”
