“Travelled from Australia to stay at this hotel for almost 6 weeks for work. The hotel was newly renovated so it was very clean, nice and comfortable. The staff were absolutely amazing. The buffet breakfast was always fresh and delicious. I would highly recommend this hotel to friends and family. I will definitely stay here again if I get a chance to visit in the future.”

“Hotel Villa Borghi is a 4*hotel with little or none 4* commodities. In my opinion the quality standard doesn't even meet the 3* standard... I would put between 2* and 3*... so: 2.5* considering the look of the historical building. And that's it. Too expensive for the quality and commodities they offer. They advertise and sell the hotel using pictures of top standard and quality rooms and then you arrive at the hotel and you get something different, not according to a 4* standard and not even similar to what you booked taking into consideration the pictures and description of the hotel. It's a big disappointment. I don't recommend Hotel Villa Borghi to anyone. Just take a look at the pictures I post here of the deluxe double room 🤔: minibar empty, broken furniture, small and old closet, lamps full of dust and not clean, shower not properly cleaned and maintained, bed with only two pillows and of very basic quality, cheap plastic cups and paper cups. So, basically: a fraud.”

“This is a cheap spa resort, and you pay for more than you get. Definitely not a 4 star experience, we recently stayed at more comfortable and nicer hotels rated at 3 stars. Location seems like a modernized motel with attached spa facilities. The positive: - Room is clean. - staff is friendly and helpful and the hotel is dog-friendly as well. - Several things a available at no cost in the reception, combs, razors, toothpaste etc The negative - There's a restaurant and in the evening while the restaurant is open, the smell of fried meat permeates into the rooms (probably the ventilation system). So unless you are our dog, you will probably not enjoy the smell in the room. The reception provided little help and just asked for patience until the kitchen closed (around 10 pm) and then asked us to exchange the air by opening the windows. - Spa is filled with adolescent groups of boys who behave as adolescent boys do. - Fairly noisy, sound easily comes through the doors or walls. The neutral: - Breakfast was nothing special.”

“We enjoyed a great 7 night stay at Hotel de Charme Laveno. The hotel is stylish, scrupulously clean and very well located for guests to easily enjoy all that Lake Maggiore has to offer. Particular highlights for us were the food and the staff - who were delightful. To find a hotel staffed by people from across the age range who clearly enjoy what they do and who genuinely care about guest comfort is all too rare. Can’t recommend highly enough.”

“The room looked clean and nice when we Arrived, but quickly we saw that it wasn't. Someone had use the bathroom, there were hairs in the sink like someone had shaved and the bide was sticky from whatever had happen to it. The floor is all carpet and it hasn't been deep cleaned for years, we spent the night sneezing from the dust. The staff was nice and the breakfast was ok. I would give it a higher score but the cleaning for me is the most important thing I look for in a hotel.”

“This place was very quaint. Locals visit this place just for the food. My wife and I had dinner here and it was exquisite. There’s a gelato place at 7-10 minute walking distance, and the train station is a 5-minute walk. We recommend getting back before sundown since it can be a dark 5-minute walk, given there’s no sidewalk. In my review I include written directions and details of what train and subway to catch if you’re going to Milan from this hotel. Enjoy your stay!”
