The location of this hotel is amazing, everything you need is within walking distance and it's also within a 5 minute walk to the tram stop. “We booked one of the suites for our wedding/honeymoon between Christmas and new year. My husband couldn’t believe that it’s only a 4-star hotel. The room was incredible - so comfortable and well stocked. The staff were really friendly and helpful, bringing up milk and orange juice and extra chairs for the morning of our wedding while we got ready. They were fine with us taking wedding photos in the lobby and grounds too. We arrived back to a bottle of champagne and a lovely note that evening. The breakfasts were amazing too in the on-site bistro. Neither of us really wanted to leave and wished we could have had a bit longer there. Absolutely 5-star service and place. Thank you for an incredible stay - we felt very well looked after.”

“If you are on budget and wanna save some buck then definitely choose this place. It’s cheap and in a great location in the middle of Edinburgh center. Also important that you are travelling with a backpack cos no other luggage will probably be comfortable for this type of hostel. Other than this, ofc there is much better, but for the price I believe it’s a fair trade off. Sharing the room with 17 people it’s weird but not bad. I think it depends on the people you happen to be in the dorm with. You surely must be an adaptable person flexible according to the circumstances. However the shower room are a bit narrow which makes it uncomfortable to have shower and get changed. The bathroom in general tend to be cleaned maybe not perfectly but just small details. In general to be a place shared by so many people it was in a good state. Also the staff was always kind and helpful so that’s a plus. So recap: are u in budget? are you flexible person not too picky on cleaning and noise? Can you adapt to narrow spaces? Then this place might be okay for you, AGAIN you shall be travelling with a backpack and be in a Spartan mode let’s say. But that’s the fun of this kind of trips!”

“Rooms are definitely luxurious with fancy lights and everything. Got a good view from our room. Hotel is away from the city so it is in a very quiet and peaceful area with bus connectivity from Princess Street. Breakfast was good as well. Would definitely recommend to shortlist this hotel if you're visiting Edinburgh for a few days, however you might get better deals on other 4 star hotels”

The assistant manger has always been such a great help and helped me and my family book an impromptu new year eve celebration for a big crew, really grateful for her for helping us sort this, and also for generally being super helpful with bookings. “We stayed at the Apex from 17 December to the 21st. I would stay here again. As others have mentioned, the rooms were well looked after. Service each day was well done. Beds and showers were great. Location was fantastic with great access to historical sights and food. For the holidays they had mulled wine in the lobby. That was a very welcome treat after a day sightseeing around Edinburgh.”
