“A very large site which was busy during Easter weekend. The owner showed us to our pitch down a steep hill. We had concerns about towing our caravan back up and were assured that our vehicle would cope. We managed it in 1st gear but warning it is a very steep hill. The indoor wash block is not heated. The toilet, basin and shower are in one cubicle and everything gets soaked. No toilet paper provided but there is soap. There is a restaurant on site open in the evening and a bar/cafe which provides breakfast and lunch, also an onsite shop. The launderette facilities are at the top of the hill and cost E4 to use the machines. Plenty of wash/shower blocks which were all open. The facilities are in need of updating. There is a pool complex which is open to the public as well as campers in season. Sport facilities with pitches for ball games, table tennis and boules plus a children’s play area.”

The reception staff were always friendly and accommodating, including when working with us for a late check-in and an early check-out. The breakfast was consistently fresh and delicious—how indulgent for us to have fresh Parmigiano Reggiano cheese each morning! Our room was spacious and the common spaces are inviting and comfortable. In addition, the location so close to Piazza Garabaldi (and a 15-20 minute walk from the train station) is fantastic. “We had a delightful stay at Agriturismo Il Salice and were warmly welcomed by Guiseppe and his family. Their hospitality was very good, and they even helped us with our luggage upon arrival. Throughout our stay, communication with the hosts was seamless, both through Booking and WhatsApp, making it easy to coordinate our plans. The location of Agriturismo Il Salice in Val Parma was simply beautiful. Surrounded by picturesque landscapes, it provided a serene and relaxing atmosphere, perfect for a peaceful getaway. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, and we appreciated the charming ambiance of the property. They also have animals to visit and the river is close by. Nicht gefallen · The rooms were quite noisy, especially since they were situated close to the reception area, resulting in disturbances from guests coming and going. Moreover, the lack of air conditioning or fans made the rooms uncomfortably hot, particularly during the warmer months. We also encountered some disappointments regarding the food offerings. During our "apperitivo", we found the snacks to be rather dry. When we requested some olive oil to accompany the appetizers, we were surprised to be informed that it was not included. The lack of flexibility left us with a somewhat negative impression. Furthermore, breakfast was advertised as included, but it was limited to coffee and a sweet snack, like cake or sugary yogurt. For those seeking a heartier continental breakfast with items like bread and eggs, an additional charge of 12 EUR was required, which we felt was a bit excessive.”
