“My husband and I live in Mt Adams right above the Lytle hotel. During the arctic blast of 2022-23 our pipes froze and we ended up spending 5 days at the Hotel over Christmas. My kids came for Christmas in our hotel room…not ideal but the hotel was so great in offering us spaces to use. They even had a pipe break and made all the guests comfortable. Fast forward to arctic blast 2024 and sure enough our pipes froze again (we thought we had this fixed last year but it is now done!) we had dinner at the bar waiting for them to unfreeze and finally realized we had to stay a night…I was so incredibly sad. The hotel staff was amazing and even gave us an upgrade to a suite which was so thoughtful! I cannot recommend this hotel, the staff and the overall stay enough!”

“Hotel was very clean and the staff was friendly. Room was large and clean with walk-in shower, microwave and fridge ,sofa and desk. Full size toiletries were attached to the wall in pumps rather than the small size which was actually much better! Only thing we did not like was the bed was hard and lumpy (time to replace?) and we were not able to get extra pillows due to guest with broken leg who took them all.”

“I recently stayed at a Marriott hotel and had a mixed experience. The hotel boasts an excellent location, making it convenient to explore the surrounding area. Additionally, the staff were commendable for their friendliness and professionalism, constantly striving to ensure a pleasant stay.However, there were a few drawbacks that impacted my experience. Firstly, the breakfast service ended quite early at 9:30 am, which might not be ideal for those who prefer a leisurely morning. Secondly, I encountered issues with the door locks in my room, which were broken. This is a significant concern as it directly affects the safety and security of guests.Another point of concern was the room rates. I found them to be quite expensive, which set high expectations for the quality and service of the hotel. Unfortunately, these expectations were not fully met, especially considering the issues I faced.Lastly, I experienced problems with clogged drains in the bathroom. While this can happen occasionally, it's an inconvenience, especially in a premium hotel where such issues should be promptly addressed.In summary, while the staff's efforts and the hotel's location are praiseworthy, the early breakfast timing, room security concerns, high cost, and maintenance issues like clogged drains detracted from the overall experience. I believe there's room for improvement, particularly in ensuring that facilities are well-maintained and functional.”

“After booking I read reviews and was very nervous. It was non refundable so I figured I would make the best of it. My only complaint was parking, there was really only room for 2 cars while valet parking. I ended up having to drive around the block once, but not a huge deal. Valet was very quick and every one was very helpful with luggage. Front desk staff were very kind and quick to get us checked in. The hotel is inside of a very old building, but everything is updated and clean inside. The room was huge and very comfortable. I was beside an elevator and didn’t hear much noise at all. Over all, I was very happy and would stay again. Don’t let the reviews scare you off!”

“The rooms were nice but we were disappointed in the service, specifically housekeeping, during our three night stay. It was difficult to get housekeeping to stop at our room after asking multiple times, we had to put our full trash cans and dirty towels in the middle of the outside hall (where people could trip on them) to get them emptied and collected. After the third time asking for the trash to be collected, the desk handed me a trash bag and told me to empty them myself. The free breakfast was great and the staff was very courteous and helpful at least.”

“Great place to travel with family. Everyone had their own space. One star off for service. When our flight was delayed and we arrived at 3 a.m., the front door was locked and no one answered the door bell nor phone. I could see a worker vacuuming the lobby, but she didn't notice us until she stopped vacuuming a half hour later. At least our taxi driver let us wait in his car, because it was cold that night.”

“I stayed midweek during the off-season for Kings Island. Despite the fact of the parking lot was full indicating that the hotel was as well, the place was very quiet with no smoke smell in the hallways nor in the room. The room itself is small and somewhat outdated, not the cleanest but clean enough. The bed was reasonably comfortable but not the best, same could be said for the pillows. The heat struggled to keep the room comfortable Even though The low was around 30°.. All in all extremely acceptable for the $50 price I paid. If you're looking for a place to take the family on vacation this is not where I would recommend coming, but for somebody stopping overnight or a few days it's perfectly fine.”
