“This was the most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed at. I booked it last minute but I was a bit worried as I did not read much about it. We arrived to Varenna by train and did a 10 minute walk to the hotel. You can avoid this walk if you call the hotel and ask them to pick you up (it is complimentary). We were pleasantly surprised once we arrived. The hotel is placed in the main plaza of the town. At the other side, you can get an incredible view of the lake with Bellagio in the distance. We arrived and the staff immediately greeted us and helped us get situated. Get the room with the balcony, trust me. You will be able to wake up and enjoy looking st the lake in the morning while drinking spresso from the balcony or just read a book. The concierge, Hugo, also came through with an order of flowers for our room which were beautiful and fresh. The breakfast is great but not amazing, I don't complain because it is free. However you can enjoy the view of the lake while eating which is very hard to do in the other places in town. Hugo also recommended we go to bellagio for the day and made a quick plan for us. He was incredibly knowledgeable and he is actually well known with a lot of the merchants in the area. He was able to provide us discounts for boat tours and other plans in the area.”

“We celebrated our wedding in August 2023. The venue is fantastic, with several locations that one can freely choose, food is very nice and they readily accomodate special food requirements. They offer rooms that they keep open for the wedding guests, if needed. The staff was very helpful even for unusual requirements: handling the dog during ceremony, borrowing umbrellas (it was a rainy wedding) and helping out with really any need that came up. Additionally, they are very flexible in terms of planning, we changed our mind during the process more than once, and on our wedding day the weather was unstable: they were supporting in changing location within the Oasi even with very short notice. These are just a few of the truly positive experiences, apart of the surroundings: the location is very well maintained with attention to details and of course the nature itself offers a beautiful scenery.”

“I did not stay here BUT I did have a really great lunch! My tour of over 60 people reserved a lunch here and I know we were a handful but the staff handled us with incredible service, patience, and grace. I am a vegetarian and was able to communicate that with the staff. One gentleman was so great with me -he asked if I was Ok to eat dairy and fish. At this point I had been from Bosnia to Italy and no one asked and I was used to just being served cheese and bread or steamed veggies for the meals I had covered with my tour group. This was literally the best lunch I had my entire tour. They brought me out my own fresh mixed green salad that I was able to dress with olive oil and balsamic and served it with a side of burrata (my favorite cheese!) and made sure I had plenty of bread. While everyone was having the last course which was a seafood risotto, they brought me out a mushroom risotto that was incredible. Plus I got to have delicious meal while having a view of Lake Como across the street. 10/10 and shout to the kitchen staff for accommodating a vegetarian with a delicious meal!”

“I would never advise anyone to go to this hotel. The administrator is absolutely tactless and not balanced person who constantly yells. We booked a room and when booking became incorrectly displayed the number of people. Before paying we wrote to the hotel how many people we are and asked if we can such a composition in this room, to what we received the answer that if we do not mind that the children slept with us, we can book this room. After that we made a payment, and on arrival the administrator began to shout that the room is not suitable for us and that we either pay for another room, or they will not return the money to us and we can leave. They refused their own earlier messages about permission and did not even want to listen to anything, only shouted. Even some cook in the restaurant came out to shout. The rooms are old, requiring renovation, they are very noisy, sleep is not possible, no noise insulation. Until three in the morning downstairs in the cafe it felt like pulling chairs and rattling dishes, although it was already closed.The rooms are very small and cramped with no ventilation. The only good thing is the view of the lake, which the hotel administration has nothing to do with. And the administration does not care about their visitors. I have never met such incorrect people in my life. And I hope not to meet more and I know that life is a boomerang and the fact that they deceive so people will not remain without a trace.”
