“Loved my stay at this resort! The location is absolutely gorgeous! The room was clean and cozy, with a fantastic view of the Gulf. The condo was well decorated but could use some updating mostly for aesthetic purposes. The pool was super clean and well maintained. The parking is a little tricky but very convenient as well. Overall I'm very pleased and will return.”

“Lots of potential as the renovations are cosmetically pleasing and modern. However rooms are being renovated while the hotel is open and they are super annoying. Grinding and banging sounds for hours and hours on end during the day. When we booked this room months ago we called and were told all renovations were going to be completed by the time we arrived. Upon our arrival the concierge denied that had happened and seemed to accuse us of lying. We chose to stick it out as we were given a newly renovated room by this concierge. Cosmetically the rooms are beautiful but everything is nearly 1:1 functionally meaning it’s a new look but chairs and sofa and TVs and the layout are in the exact same place and amenities identical but only updated cosmetically. The electrical outlets and switches still look like they are from the 80s however so it’s not exactly a complete makeover. The bathroom also appears to be unchanged from its previous look other than a coat of paint. We love the location and parking was easy but the negatives were a major bummer. They reopened their free breakfast area and the lobby without making any announcement to guests on their “Breakfast temporarily in room 115” sign which is still sitting outside the elevators misdirecting guests as I’m writing this review. The breakfast is delicious and has so many options! Wow! Wish it had been open for most of my stay as the temp location had no room for anything and was sub-par. So another plus.”

“We love this place so much! We always stay here and always have an amazing time!! The facilities are gorgeous and so clean. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. There’s so much to do and the bay view rooms have gorgeous views. Plus the beds and pillows are so comfortable!! Just a short walk away and you have Baytowne shops and restaurants. We always come back to this place when we’re in the area. It never disappoints!”

“Beautiful hotel, terrible front desk staff. This is a BEAUTIFUL hotel! The lobby and rooms are wonderful. The non-valet parking is fairly sparse and a bit of a walk, but we always found a spot. We had both in room dining and ate in the restaurant and weren’t very impressed by either. We did eat at the Henderson one evening and the food and service there were excellent! The rooftop pool and bar at Hotel Effie are very nice and add to the premium feel of the property. The spa services were top notch. The front desk staff are very rude, act as though they are the guests at this premium hotel, rather than servicing people’s needs and were generally aggravating and non helpful. There were unauthorized bar charges on my bill and when I asked the front desk to research, the tall female staffer with a foreign accent who “assisted” me made me feel as though I were lying until she finally apologized and credited the charges back. I was so insulted that I asked to speak to a manager and she stated the managers weren’t available. We loved our stay there, but won’t be back due to the staff’s attitude and terrible customer service.”

“Exactly what we needed! This place was spot on with the description and photos. Redfish village was a perfect spot for our first time visiting the Santa Rosa beach area. Private parking, balcony, spacious living areas and super clean. Plenty of places to eat, drink, and hear music all within a 5 minute walk, or a 15 min bike ride. We have been going to the gulf waters for over 40 years, and blue mountain beach blows all the other gulf beaches out of the water (pun intended). The water was super, super clean and clear and the beach sand was baby powder soft and white. This place has now become our new favorite. Don't hesitate booking......You won't be disappointed.”

“Stayed here with family for an entire week in the middle of July and had an amazing time. I forget who we booked the room through, but we had an exceptional one. Two rooms, spacious living room, and 2.5 baths was just right for the 6 of us, and it had very well updated appliances, kitchen, and showers that were gorgeous. The place was very clean, the AC was working great and keeping us cool after hot beach days. The place had tennis courts, grills, a few pools, and multiple direct beach accesses. Tons of parking spaces, and a few loading docks for all of our luggage was convenient. Our room also had a balcony on each side, which was very relaxing. I understand that your experience may depend on your room, and who you book it with, but we had basically no complaints and did not want to leave. We will be back soon!”

“The Bay Club would be a great place, if you aren’t staying while they are doing construction. They were re-stucco’ing the exterior and replacing sliding glass doors to the patios/balconies. Machines going from 8:30am-5:00pm daily. We had to keep our curtains closed b/c workers were on scaffolding right outside our doors. By the time we left (5 days), our room was covered in an 1/8” of dust. The pool was closed. The restaurant was closed our last 3 days b/c of the construction. The staff was incredibly nice and The Bay Club has a ton of potential….. but not right now while construction is going on. WE WERE DISAPPOINTED TO SAY THE LEAST.”

“My family and I booked a trip there for fall break. We unexpectedly lost a family member and the hotel was unwilling to refund or offer credit for our room that we had already paid $700. The unwillingness to accommodate and lack of compassion and understanding for our loss was the icing on the cake during a long week. Terrible customer service and I will NOT try to book there again.”
