“Went for a day trip from Waco to swim and play with the otters, feed a baby kangaroo, and tour the property to see all the animals. To say it was amazing is an understatement. Kaylee helped us with the otters and kangaroo feeding and she was so friendly and knowledgeable and took many great pictures and videos to capture our experience. The otters all had such fun personalities and were so playful! Smiled and laughed the whole time! Boomerang the kangaroo was so soft and cuddly! The tour of the property was relaxing and beautiful and we got up close to a variety of wildlife. Our guide was very attentive and provided a memorable way to finish our day at the ranch. A very unique and fun experience and would highly recommend!!”

“Rooms are big clean plenty of room to move around. Bed are huge and great mix of soft & firm. Sheet are clean and smell amazing. Bathrooms are clean. And kitchette is a small area but enough room to fix a meal and plenty of cabinet space if your long term, and a smaller full fridge with freezer. Overall it's a nice place to stay.”

“I eat here for lunch and dinner frequently. It's a great spot with good food. The schnitzel is authentic, the pork knuckle fantastic and the deviled eggs were good. Try their beer or spirits and the changing cocktail menu should also be observed. An overall great dining experience.”

“I understand everyone's experience will be different, but mine personally was wonderful. Not only was the room very nice, but the staff was wonderful. I left a piece of jewelry in the hotel room that was very important to me, and the staff went above and beyond in helping to ship it back to me. They were so easy to talk to and so helpful. Close to things, and easy to walk to the Silos. Hotel overall is a little dated, but nothing that wouldn't make us want to stay there again. I truly believe having a great staff makes all the difference in your experience, and this hotel has that nailed down.”

“Had such a great time at Camp Fimfo! We went with 6 other families. It was so nice to have our own cabin but still all be right next to each other. The kids were so entertained with all the activities. The cabin was nice and clean. Definitely rent a golf cart- makes it easy to get around and of course kids loved that too! Can’t speak much to the service bc we were there over a holiday and they were closed most of the time, but the few interactions we had were great. We will be back for sure!”

“Was worried about this place at first due to reviews I read, but this place was amazing! Great room with a kitchenette, comfy bed, full sized fridge, desk w/pullout table, decent sized closet. All the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Place was very clean, pretty quiet, although there is some highway noise. Shower was nice but poorly designed. It will definitely get the floor wet. In my opinion, not sure how this place got some poor reviews. Mustve just been a bad day for them but I'd definitely stay here again. Looking forward to it actually! I will say I was disappointed in the pricing, which I knew was because of the college game (Baylor vs. UT).”

“Since we've drove through Waco all our lives and haven't spent any time here. My wife and I stayed here for our 28th wedding anniversary. We made plans for the Cameron Park Zoo, the businesses brands and restaurants owned by Chip & Joanna Gaines. As we've always wanted to go see their Silos, Silos Baking Company, Magnolia Press, Magnolia Market and Magnolia Table Restaurant. While my wife and I loved the hotel of which is also dog friendly, the service, the gym, housekeeping and our room was excellent. But the breakfast not so much and I'm being nice. We arrived 30 minutes before they closed the breakfast bar, there wasn't much available, the attendant was rude to my wife, and what I managed to put together as breakfast tacos was awful, but the coffee was good, unfortunately coffee isn't a meal. Other than that you will enjoy you're stay but you're better off going out or having something delivered. Also the indoor pool is very nice but isn't heated. And while I tolerated it being freezing cold exercising while doing my laps, at least 3 families walked away instead of enjoying what was included with the hotel facilities.”
