“This is a friendly and family run campsite in beautiful mountain scenery. We stayed here a couple of nights and climbed up Monti Ventossa directly from the site. We had a pitch with a gorgeous view of Pietra di Bismantova, the distinctive shaped hill along the valley. The facilities are good and clean and they are dotted around this large and rambling campsite. Bread is available even out of season. The owners gave us lots of information on walks in the area.”

“I didn’t sleep well because it took the a/c all night to cool the room down from 27 Celsius to 22 Celsius. Also, I didn’t eat well because we were given only antipasti and primi for dinner. Maybe the problem was that I was booked into the hotel by Lufthansa due to a cancelled flight from Bologna airport. In any case, the hotel is clean and its staff is polite and helpful where they can.”

“I stayed here for 1 night on business in late Aug 2022. Very difficult to fault, my only real issue is that the restaurant is closed on a Monday night and all the local restaurants also seem to be closed so I had to have a sandwich for dinner. But having said that here is the good stuff. The price is awesome, the breakfast is lovely, the coffee is the best I have had in years, the room is clean and well laid out. The garden is an absolute pleasure. The car parking is good. The village is delightful.”

“SMOKING ROOM WITH NO WINDOWS... This hotel is actually okay - the area seems sketchy by night, the crowd partly questionable, but the rooms and breakfast were acceptable (except for the dirty sheets), especially at ~$60 per night...but getting a smoking room in a hotel where the rooms don't have windows and being denied a different room upon complaint - sorry, never again, can't recommend at all.”
