“Absolutely fabulous! A real grand hotel in the heart of Bologna. Old fashioned 5 star hotel service with very friendly and well trained staff. We had a great 4 day stay there. Oh, they still have the old-fashioned keys instead of key cards! Two housekeeping services per day the way it is supposed to be with daily and turn down service. The breakfast is fantastic and the bar staff is as good as they come. Highly recommended.”

“We loved everything about this fantastic, beautiful hotel. Its rural, green setting just 20 minutes outside of Bologna's city centre and its stunning swimming pool provided the perfect downtime from the hustle and bustle of the city. The restaurant was excellent (so much so that we ate there every lunch and dinner) and was always busy with locals which is a good sign! All the staff were incredibly friendly too. We wouldn't hesitate to stay at Relais Villa Valfiore again and would absolutely recommend it to others!”

“Our stay at Hotel Touring was spectacular! The hotel atmosphere is inviting, modern yet old world, and warm. It is conveniently located and is walkable to many sites, resturuants, and shopping. The staff is helpful and courteous. Special shout out to Julia, Marco and Elena. Their professionalism and knowledge is, bar none. They were always willing to lend a helping hand. Which we truly appreciated. We were celebrating our anniversary during our stay, and without our knowledge the management upgraded our room to a junior suite, with a lovely terrace and beautiful tapestry ceiling. If you are traveling to Bologna (which I highly suggest you do), Hotel Touring is the place to stay.”

“We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel receptionist and it was absolutely perfect. The staff were friendly and took great care of my wife who is gluten free. From my seat outside I could see the Torre Altabella which was a nice touch. The food was all excellent however the star attraction is the extensive gluten free menu (I've posted photos of it under the menu section). If you are gluten free and struggling for decent options in Bologna this is the place for you. If you are not gluten free the main menu is also delicious, the service is excellent and the staff were all really helpful.”

“Very nice but I can only rate 3 stars because of the overuse of air fresheners. Every time I went in the room the smell was overwhelming and some of the bathrooms even had two! It is not healthy to breathe in the chemicals and they were not even necessary because the place was well ventilated and clean. I would strongly recommend removing all of the air fresheners and fragrances. They make the place smell worse than without them.”

“Very pleasant trek to get there from the city centre. Guided tour is a must as the place would be otherwise closed. Ancient cloister used until recently as a private house which has distorted part of the charm of the place. Super view of the city. Highly recommended.”
