“We had a great stay here. We’d read some mixed reviews and I can understand them, however having down other Alps trails this hut is just as good. It’s a remote location so expect some simpler affair when it comes to shower quality (5euro), toilets, running water, breakfast range and dorms. The dinner food was fab, good drinks, friendly staff and a gorgeous view. Yes there are more comfortable huts on the trail however this is a good choice for those doing the detour from AV1!”

The location next to the lake and near hiking trails (but away from the craziness of Cortina) is perfect. The wifi is fast. Breakfast is delicious. “We have been to quite a bit of SLH. This is the only one that we are truly disappointed. First of all the room we booked was a suite and it turned out too be very small room on the top floor with a very small window blocked partually by the roof. The whole hotel has no AC so for the whole stay we have to open the window and use a fan to provide enough circulation and cold air to keep the room cool. It is awkward because now you cannot close the bind and your neighbor can see the room from their balcony. The breakfast selection was small compared to the other hotel Alder Spa Resort we stayed nearby. The waitor, Nicolas was new but very absent minded. For two breakfasts we stay (one bay we had a box breakfast) he managed to forgot, missed our breakfast and coffee orders. Just cannot imagine a hotel you pay USD500-600 per night can provide these poor service, especially a member of SLH! Hope that you can avoid this hotel next time you are in Dolomites. Another hotel we stayed for one night and it was surprisingly good was Kinder Cycling hotel. Even though it is a little noisy nut the facility, restaurant, and the building was tastefully designed. Food at this hotel was very good!”

“I've beed coming to this hotel for the last five or six years. The rooms are nice, clean and well equipped. The staff is very friendly. They have their own van that takes you to the ski lift wich is 3 minutes away. And a big plus is you can get to the hotel on skis. The spa is also nice. I definitely recommend this place. 2023 edit: I haven't been here since I wrote the review, until now. The piste that used to go to the hotel is no more (not a big problem if you like riding powder) but you can take the van back to the hotel. Rest of the review is still true. My biggest complaint is that the bed I slept in was terrible. Very unconfortable and noisy.”
