“Booked a A la carte Dinner, bed and breakfast. We were given a sofa with a bar menu, forget about and had to find staff to order dessert and drinks which never came but we’re on the bill. No real apology and not what was expected from such a beautiful building. We stayed in the lodge which was lovely but staying on the ground floor, the noise from the floor boards above was very loud as were the voices. Bathroom mirror needs to be bigger and lit. Breakfast was nice. Could be a very nice place with the correct management”

“I have been to the Red Lion on several occasions since it was taken over and it has never disappointed. The menu is excellent and the food is just delicious! I recently went with my 5 year old for lunch and found a cosy corner in the garden. The service was outstanding, and the food, perfect. My daughter claimed this to be ‘the best meal she’s ever had’ and I would have to agree, the steak kebabs and fish and chips, heavenly!! Thank you for always being so kind and welcoming especially with tiny people. Highlight of our week!”

“Lovely pub we stumbled across in Lingfield. Large covered outdoor area with bar service and decent sized beer garden. Kids playground stuff, to keep little ones entertained. Quite popular, so I suggest booking if you're going for food. Speaking of which the food was very good (I had the Sunday roast beef). Good range of beers. Only real negative, is the hand drier in the gents...just doesn't!! Definitely recommend!!”

“The location was lovely and the facilities very clean. What let this place down was the attitude of some of the staff and the rules. We weren’t allowed to visit family nearby and stay out overnight - they said we had to return to the caravan every night which spoiled our Christmas visit. They were pleasant one minute, rude the next. Strange set up. We won’t be revisiting”

“Been here a couple times and always rate the food here, it's hot, tasty and there's plenty of it. We had a young waitress serve us who was in training and she was very friendly and attentive and wish her the best of luck, Sunday service is always in at the deep end for new staff and she coped very well. Can't wait to enjoy another delicious meal here again soon!”

“As budget hotels go it’s fantastic Room was clean quite spacious, staff really friendly and helpful Location is ideal. They had a deal £25 for dinner and breakfast Dinner was 2 courses plus a drink and all you can eat breakfast Not Michelin star but hey it £25 We only stayed one night as I was coming down from Manchester to buy a classic car but I would recommend this place to anyone and would definitely stay here again When I’m looking for my next hotel I will be checking out the Ramada hotels I have given 5 stars because it is such good value , have I stayed in better hotels? Yes but not at this price Dave”

“AMAZING STAFF! AND HOTEL! Stayed in the hotel for 2 weeks. The hotel is so clean, comfortable and friendly. The staff are amazing. So friendly and can not do enough to help you and make you feel welcome. Mel the assistant manager was so helpful with everything I needed as I didn't know the area and could not do enough to help with that and all inquires. So polite and friendly. Genuine kind manager which is so hard to come across! The bar and restaurant staff Cindy and Terri I had the privilege of meeting was the same. Lovely and friendly. They could not help me enough to help to make my stay feel so welcome and comfortable. Food was absolutely gorgeous and beautifully presented, breakfast and dinner i enjoyed thoroughly. Well done to all. 5☆ for staff and hotel. Would and will stay again.”

“Really quaint, romantic room with 4 poster bed and antique furniture. Lovely and warm and en-suite had a bath as well as a shower. Staff very attentive. Food in the restaurant was delicious. Lounge and bar area had beautiful paintings and old beams and copper top bar. Only negative is the £10 a night car parking fee which seems excessive”
