“The location is top-notch. Staff have been super helpful. The rooms are very modern and the atmosphere is unique and comfortable. We had a balcony room, but the view was mostly of commercial rooftops. Some of the balconies along the front would be much more attractive. Breakfast was quite slow for only one simple meal, but the food was excellent as was the cappuccino. The rooftop bar has a decent view of the city, but again a lot of commercial rooftops. The rooftop pool has a better view of 1st Street and cozy separate areas to relax. It's more of a splash pool as it is only 6 in deep.”

“Having this park practically in my back yard has been a godsend ever since I moved to Calistoga.Even after the fires,this is the best place to take a "Forest Bath". The hike to coyote peak offers a spectacular view of the valley from the top. A fun outdoor pool during the summer and campsites, picnic areas, clean showers and bathrooms... and they have yurts! ( if you book ahead ).The trails go back about a mile or so and there are redwoods, bay and live oak trees to marvel at during your exploration. Go for it!”

Our suite was clean and spacious with so many luxurious details. It almost made it hard to leave the room to go out for wine tastings! The whole resort provided a sense of privacy and promoted a space to truly relax after a day out at the wineries. We cannot wait to stay at the Bardessono again!”

“Mumm sparkling wine was wonderful. Our charcuterie plate was wonderful too. However, the gentleman that was our tasting host seemed bored with his job. He was very robotic about his presentation and totally aloof. He poured the sparkling wine and said “let me know how you like it,” and rushed off. We felt like we were a burden to him even though we were the first and only people there. We will continue to buy your wine because we like it. As a representative of your beautiful winery he needs to be more engaging with your customers especially being a manager. The one star is because of him.”

“We found the property very private and intimate. The view of the vines were very romantic. The beds and pillows were very soft, and the free coffee was excellent. We preferred to walk to town for breakfast and lunch, so the location was convenient. Can't comment on the restaurant though. There is a bridge to Beringer next door so we were able to get a $20 or $30 discount on wine tasting there.”

“This hotel is actually quite lovely. Nicely laid out for privacy. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the suite was completely quiet, and I got the break that I desperately needed. |Breakfast was good both mornings with a nice variety of choices. The staff was kind and friendly.”

“Beautiful location. Very clean, so close to downtown but in a sense removed (down a block or so) so it seems so peaceful and a great location for a getaway. Gym is very nice and they have a beautiful little walking path along the river. Has a nice bar and restaurant in house as well that even serves breakfast!”
