Every bite was exceptional. It was by far the best meal I had in Italy. Mario welcomed me like I was the most important customer, the food was perfection, the wine was great, the family kept coming to check in. The staff was all amazing. I had a truly great experience. “Staying at the Grand Hotel Hermitage was a great shout. The staff were super friendly and couldn’t be more accommodating if they tried. The room was always spotless and we felt comfortable letting our 10 month old baby crawl around. The cleaners very kindly worked around our little ones nap times and the front desk were super helpful with recommendations and booking places for us. There was a delightful man serving us breakfast who always made a special effort and went above and beyond with fresh coffee and omelettes but the buffet breakfast provided was a super spread with fresh fruit cereal eggs bread cakes etc you wouldn’t go away hungry or unsatisfied. The lunch menu was great and the views spectacular especially the 360 views from the top of the villa building. The pool was big and loads of beds available in high season too. The local town was a 5 min stroll with lots of lovely restaurants and the free shuttle bus was a breeze especially as it had air conditioning. Everyone was super friendly. Clean and spacious rooms and great value for money with breathtaking views. We would absolutely recommend and will be back in a heartbeat. 10/10 hands down.”

I didn’t like that there were some days that activities such as weddings, birthdays or banquets were going on to very late at night when we needed to be up in the morning. The lights in our bathroom also didn’t really work. They would flicker, get brighter and dim on their own and it was never consistent. We had a small fridge, but no microwave to heat anything up.”
