Castlepoint 5889, New Zealand

“Great drive for a 1-day trip from Wellington. If you feel, holiday park and lodging available to spend couple of days. Easy walk / hike to the lighthouse and around. Lots to do in terms of water activities. Beautiful view to look at any direction from lighthouse.”

Mi-pad Queenstown Hotel

( 8 reviews )
Closed until 02:00 PM

4 Henry Street, Queenstown 9300, New Zealand

“My partner and I stayed here for x2 nights: Deluxe Queen with Mountain views. Nice, clean and modern. Ice/water dispensers & coffee machine on our level (no alternative milks). Amazingly close location to town without being too hustle/bustle. Like 500m from town & Fergberger etc. Bathroom/toilets are interesting; with a glass door for privacy- you can hear each other whilst on the toilet/showering. Our shower water was Luke warm from our second morning, night & the final morning before our 10am check out. Overall, would definitely stay there again for a simplistic & affordable stay.”

Cambridge Top 10 Holiday Park

( 8 reviews )
Closed until 02:00 PM

32 Scott Street, Leamington, Cambridge 3534, New Zealand

“If you want to sleep, don’t stay here. Cars are able to drive in and out at all hours as the gates aren’t closed at night. A group of park guests walked and drove just next door to the public park and partied there until 3am. Park management said there was nothing they could do. Our tent site was quite close to the toilets and they have relatively loud music playing in the toilets 24|7, which might seem quiet enough during the day, but not at 3am. Apart from all of this, the park is fine Good shade.”

Otamure Bay ( Whananaki ) Campsite
4.6
( 16 reviews )
Closed until 08:00 AM

208 Rockell Road, Whananaki 0181, New Zealand

“We stayed at this glorious campsite in Dec 2020. From the moment we arrived we were in paradise. We arrived in the morning after a long drive and were told we couldn't go in till 2pm, which was okay as we parked our van at the beach and had lunch and a walk. We have since found out from DOC that the 2pm arrival is actually standard DOC procedure - so no blame should be levelled at the managers for upholding the rules. We found Jo and Chris to be really helpful, and the beaches and walks amazing and plan to go back as soon as pos.”

Kawhia Hot Water Beach
4.5
( 8 reviews )

3331 Te Puia Road, Kawhia 3889, New Zealand

“I visited in Winter, and was not here for the Hot Water, but to enjoy the beauty of the beach and the surroundings. It is a bit of a climb up the sand dune, (each side) and if you are not fit, could be a little bit of a challenge. I found the beach was lovely and quiet, but has lovely views. Worth the trip even if not here for the Hot Water Beach. There is warning signs re summer that the sand can be very hot, so if going then, be prepared with footwear, and consider your dog if you are taking one in summer.”

Metro Adventurer Backpackers
3.8
( 8 reviews ) $$
Closed until 02:00 PM

51 Hobson Street, Auckland CBD, Auckland 1010, New Zealand

“Very noisy backpacker. I stayed in so many backpackers, but here's the most noisy one, I'm thinking maybe the staff are not responsible for controlling it, and just let those people do whatever they want. People are just chilling outside the room anytime and midnight, and the room beside just keeps knocking on the wall like doing some construction. A very smelly place as the kitchen is just beside the room. But it is located in a very good location as it is in the CBD, very convenient to take the bus and go anywhere.”
