“We had a great time visiting this winery. The flight was excellent. We were able to taste other options as well to balance out the experience. The tasting room was cozy and the team working was very friendly. A great experience for me and my partner.”

Ponte Winery

Closed until 10:00 AM

35053 Rancho California Rd, Temecula, CA 92591, United States

“We love the setup of this winery with seating at different locations, on deck overlooking the scenery; or under olive trees; or screened porch in case weather not accommodating. The hotel portion and the landscape with pond are fantastic. The wine tasting was good on price/value. Unfortunately we were there on the day no restaurants opened, so I can’t comment on the food. We enjoyed our afternoon scrolling around.”

Anchor Bay Campground
4.4
( 8 reviews )

35400 CA-1, Gualala, CA 95445, United States

“Best location ever! Everything was so decorated cutely as well as the layout. Bathrooms are available and connected to the office building. The owners are very polite, kind and understanding if you have any questions then just give them a call or leave a message. My campsite was as close to the beach as possible. I think site #53. It had a bench, fire pit and parking lot. The view of the ocean, stars, moon and thundering waves was breathtaking. My tent was put on the ground facing the ocean and I noticed after a while that there were these small little crabs or crustaceans climbing on the tent they would fall off while climbing and didn’t do anything but just a warning to zip up tents. I woke up in the middle of the night to a walrus making noises and I could see it about 30 feet away from me. I woke up in the morning to the walrus laying on the sand which was awesome. Make sure you look at the prices of the campsites because they can get pricy, if you drop in the cost is lower.”

The Twist Ps

Closed until 03:00 PM

140 W Vía Lola, Palm Springs, CA 92262, United States

“The Twist is awesome! They knock themselves out to make sure you have everything you need. Honestly, this is why we don't go to a chain hotel. Family of 4 had all the space we needed. Kitchen and backyard were a bonus. Perfect location to be able to stroll downtown. I will say if you're staying in a downstairs room you'll likely hear your upstairs neighbors. But the trade off being a great backyard outdoor space so no big deal. Can't say enough about how kind, friendly and service oriented they are. Keep it up! We'll be back.”

Hume Lake Campground
4.6
( 16 reviews )

64144 Hume Lake Rd, Hume, CA 93628, United States

“Typical California lake campground. Nothing spectacular accommodations wise, but a beautiful location. Was not very happy about the camp host running a generator every evening. The last night they ran it until after 10:00 pm which was a bit annoying. Bathrooms are very sparse, no showers and sinks are half functional. Lake access is not easy from the campground and requires getting in the car and driving to reach the lake.”

Applewhite Campground
4.3
( 8 reviews )

487 N Lytle Creek Canyon Road, Lytle Creek, CA 92358, United States

“Last time I was here was about 5 years ago, recently renovated, a few trees were cut down and some campsites are permanently closed. The creek is a short walk away but I recommend driving there for safety reasons. we stayed at campsite 10 we booked online. Pretty good shade under the huge pine tree. Highly recommend. No campfires allowed on windy days.”

Hodgdon Meadow Campground

Big Oak Flat Rd, Groveland, CA 95321, United States

“This campsite is off 120, just inside Yosemite Park. There are over 100 campsites, no water or electric hookups. They do have full working bathrooms. We went in early Dec and there wasn't much snow and we had the campsite to ourselves! $28 a night.”
