“We are here again !! It's been a whole year since we last enjoyed this totally fabulous restaurant. The very best Bangladesh/Pakistan curry we've ever enjoyed in France. We were here last year. So good that whilst on the way back up to Brittany from Pau we've stopped again at La Roche sur Yon specially to be at the Taj Mahal. Paps, Sheesh kebabs, onion bajhis, chicken tikka made to our taste, naan breads, proper fluffy rice ....... Stuffed. If, if ever you are near la Roche sur Yon this is the place to go.”

“Straightforward setting and service. Kitchen closes at 2:30 for lunch, we kind of had to rush through everything (not sure why they close so early, typically restaurants call it a day at 3PM). However, the food was quite enjoyable and the pricing is entirely reasonable. Definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a quick Indian fix.”

“Hidden gem in an unassuming side street, so you have to look for it! Excellent food, quick service and apparently very popular among the locals which is fully understandable. The prices are moderate and we chose a 19.90 Eur menu which includes a starter and a main dish with naan bread and rice, and the portions were quite generous. And tasty, of course! The mango lassi was also delicious, a great dessert actually. The place hosts 36 people so it can get crowded in peak hours, perhaps it's worth it to reserve a table.”

“Being an Indian I can tell you, that this place has one of the best Indian food. Staff members are cool and attentive ! And when we visited, they had a special kind of chutney (red chutney of chill) with the other two chutneys (green and tamarind) . That was the chef's creativity, try it !”

The chicken pasanda had noticeably less curry, and the paneer pasanda/korma leaned towards sweetness due to the inclusion of raisins. While I understand that this restaurant offers a fusion take on Indian cuisine, if you're seeking an authentic Indian experience, this might not be your ideal choice. On a positive note, the paloma cocktail was quite enjoyable. However, my overall impression of the food left me somewhat disappointed. Also overpriced for the portions.”
