“We held a diwali event here for about 200 people for Brahmin society of New York. The place is very nice for holding any kind of we vent. The management was very nice and worked very well with us to plan our whole event. They were always available to answer questions and went above and beyond to get things done. The food was delicious. All our guests loved the food and the service. I recommend this place.”

“Nura was an amazing spot to have date night and our server, AC, was absolutely amazing. Although the portions were a little underwhelming— the food was really great and plated to perfection. The dishes were simply crafted yet satisfying and delicious. The open kitchen concept was beautiful, as well as the bathrooms and all the decor. We did have to wait 45 minutes after our reservation to be able to sit at a decent table, but nonetheless AC definitely made up for our wait time. Thank you!”

“The food and drinks are phenomenal. Highly recommend the Sea Bream. Very interesting combination of flavor and textures. It retains the complicated Indian/South Asian flavor profiles and uses of spices, and also maintains a great balance to make every ingredient on the plate stand out. It embraces the traditional flavor and adds contemporary touches. It's truly for everyone. The waitress Dana is super nice and offered us a complimentary dessert for our birthday celebration, please give her a raise! The place is quite small with a semi open kitchen and very nice ambiance. This place is definitely going for a Michelin star, highly recommend!”

“I mostly avoid non-Vegan places especially in large cities with so many vegan options. However since there seem to be no fully vegan Indian restaurants in NYC, I made an exception. Had the aloo gobi. Rice and bread portions were good size but the aloo gobi itself could be a bit bigger. Everything tasted fresh. There’s a clean bathroom. Staff is friendly and seems knowledgeable about what’s vegan. Prices are decent and there’s a separate section of the menu with the vegan items. I’ll probably come back to try more things at some point whenever I’m craving Indian food. I can’t speak to the authenticity of the food since I’m not Indian and have never been to India, but it was good enough for me. I don’t rate non-vegan restaurants 5 stars anymore, otherwise it would have gotten 5.”

“Not for the claustrophobic. Milon must have the highest occupancy per square foot in the city (county?). Further, there's a general grubby feel to the place. On the plus side, the food is actually pretty good and a real value. While not for everyone, the gaudy display of hundreds (thousands?) of multi-colored lights is a sight to behold.”

“This being a South Indian restaurant, I ordered Veg Kuthu Porotta and didn’t depend my decision. I reached there just before afternoon break and yet they were welcoming. The food was served quick and the porotta tatsed awesome with the raita. The portion was Really good and filled me up easily. The spiciness level was accurate and the food seemed authentic. Give it a shot if you would want to explore South Indian cuisine.”

“This was definitely a unique dining experience and in its own way it was memorable. I have never been in such a tiny restaurant with so little space to maneuver. The wait staff literally pulls tables away from the wall for you to slide onto the wall side bench and then pushes it back towards you - every inch matters here. This restaurant is a bit of a machine - the waitstaff is very present and urging you onwards through your meal, they turn over tables quickly. I can see why the place was humming - people come because it's the most affordable Indian food around. But the food itself is not memorable at all. The decor is one of a kind but all I could think of was how difficult it must be to properly clean all those strings of lights (to the point where I highly doubt they do get cleaned). If you want affordable Indian food in a restaurant setting in lower Manhattan this fits that bill. Would not recommend if you are a person of size (either height or width really) nor a wheel chair user nor if you have significant mobility issues.”

“Last time I came here was before Covid. I am so happy that this place is still here and still serving excellent quality and tasty food!!! Every bite of goat curry or chicken tikka masala is just an explosion of flavor and deliciousness that I simply cannot get enough of. Almost an hour’s drive to get there was very much worth the drive!! The garlic naan is good but even though we get the buffet, you still have to pay extra for naan. Next time no naan for me even though it’s good and I don’t mind paying. It’s just TOO much food!! Puts me into a food coma when I come here which is not fun 😞 but that’s because the food is just so damn delicious!!! I always eat the food with raita (the cucumber yogurt sauce). The rice pudding dessert was excellent too. I was sad that they didn’t have the syrupy dessert balls, soaking in a honey sauce. That’s super good but they didn’t have it today.”
