“I went to this place about 15-17 years ago. The food was not impressive, the chats were soggy, place was not very clean, tables were sticky, service was ridiculous and I never felt like going back there again - although we go to Oak Tree Road a couple of months all these years. Never bothered recommending it to anyone as well. However, we venturned out two weeks ago early in the evening as a family of four members. This time our experience was totally different. The place looks very nice, service was super-fast, the food was fresh, chats tasted excellent. I will definitely be going back there again and I highly recommend this place as well. My experience was totally different and happy that I visited them and gave them another chance.”

“It’s been there for a long time .. I remember eating here 6-7 years ago. I was passing by oak tree and wanted to re-visit them .. it was about 6 pm and I was craving for a quick tea and snack .. nicely located right in the heart of oak tree rd. Parking outside is good… it wasn’t crowded and hence the billing and service was quick . There were some tables inside to sit and eat … Was craving for mirchi bajji and it was pre made and kept close to the billing , so people can look at it and order . The only issue was, it wasn’t. Fresh . Once I ordered , they took a couple of bajjis and fried it and brought it back . Very average bajji. It was soggy and not crispy at all. It tasted a bit sour and tangy. Just had a couple of pieces and threw it out , after coming to home . Would have returned it if I had a taste in the shop itself . Disappointed ! Also orders to-go malai kulfi and of course - they gave me mango kulfi . I couldn’t return it and get my malai kulfi . But the taste of kulfi was superbbb. One of the best kulfis I have had in Oak tree area. Also ordered tea. It was average. Pricing was ok .. Overall a very average visit . Will probably go back some day to taste their food .”

“Take out review: Update: Aug 12, 2021 After my first review, I continued ordering from Monsun every other week. Over the time I discovered many outrageously tasty dishes like the Samosa Chaat, Nawabi Chicken Korma, Shrimp tikka masala. The Korma requires a special mention, probably the best tasting Korma that I can remember. Its so creamy and sweet, and the chicken almost melts in the mouth. I don’t find much bones in the Goat Biryani anymore either. Monsun has become one of my staple food places for take outs while working from home. Original Review: I ordered a Goat dum Biryani and a chicken kati roll for lunch on a weekday via one of the delivery apps. The ordered was prepared and dispatched pretty fast, and arrived 20 minutes before the ETA. So that was impressive!! I really liked the chicken kati roll. It had huge pieces of chicken and a nice blend of spices and sauce. The wrap was also soft and holding all the ingredients properly. I wasn’t fond of the goat Biryani as much. It was very spicy for me even though I requested mild. So, their regular spice level might have been beyond my tolerance. The Biryani also had a lot of small pieces of bones, which made it annoying to eat the rice. But the quality of the goat was really good, I just wish they had removed most of the bones. Despite the goat Biryani setback, I’ll consider ordering from them again, since that delivery app doesn’t have much Indian options near me.”
