“An Indian Restaurant with western ambience. We thought of trying some Indian cuisine nearby JHU Homewood campus. We found this restaurant just behind Marylander apartments. Due to labour Day many restaurants were not in service. We decided to go here and ordered some Indian food. 1. Veg pakoda 2. Paneer Jalfarezi 3. Malai Kofta 4. Garlic Naan 5. Beverages We found that veg pakoda was over fried. Malai kofta curry was made of tomato puri compare to cream and cashew. In Paneer Jalfarezi all veggies were not properly cooked maybe due to they serve this kind of food only. Btw rice was complementary with curry. But overall we found this restaurant not too good as expected. Well you guys can try and give your honest review. “We tried this restaurant for the first time and it is the best around the bethesda downtown location. The food portion and the service is good. The Gobi Manchurian was delicious and the chicken kadhai was OK. The goat biryani and malai Kofta was good as well. The Mango Lassi was awesome too. We would definitely try more options in the future.”

“Quick service - about 20 minutes from ordering to being in my hands ready to take out. The food is delicious. I've liked several of their mains but the tikka masala is my favorite. The only thing I have not liked on the menu was the meat samosa. I always order a side of rice because otherwise I don't have enough for the meal. The portions ae otherwise great. One meal, an extra rice, and an order of naan is enough for me to get a dinner and 2 lunches out of it.”

“I’ve ordered from Persis several times and each time they got my order wrong. Whenever I ordered the food was always too spicy. This time I ordered and when I opened the food, all there was white rice.The actual biryani rice was at the bottom and there was literally nothing. It was so bland and had no taste. When I called them, they said it was because I ordered mild when I have the receipt that says I ordered medium. Keep calling the store to speak with manager but no one is at the store to solve our issue. The food is good but they keep messing up our order so from now on we will not be ordering from here.”

“Came in on a Monday night around 8p. Only bar section opened at that time. Our server was nice. Ordered the chicken curry hot and the goat curry hot. The chicken had a kick to it while the goat wasn't too spicy. I enjoyed the meal. Total a little over $30. Also played a few rounds of pool while listening to the jukebox. Luckily I had some cash on me that I could get change for the pool tables. Overall, good experience.”
