“Really delicious take away spot for South Indian food. Everything tasted authentic and amazing. We tried the thath idli, mini podi idli and medu vadas. Also their filter coffee was delicious. The rava kesari was so indulgent and tasty and not super sweet. They mainly do takeout but there were 3 tables outside with 6 chairs. Everything is self serve, I didn’t notice anyone tending to or cleaning tables. I’m looking forward to trying their lunch menu and thalis - everything looked super promising. Highly recommend.”

“The food is amazing, particularly for those who enjoy Chinese cuisine. The combination of oil and dry chilies gives each dish a delightful aroma and a distinctive flavor. I am confident that anyone who appreciates Chinese flavors will enjoy it. The unique Indian ingredients, such as cottage cheese and fried ice cream, are definitely worth trying. Additionally, I enjoyed all the drinks, particularly the cocktails. Each order my friends made was exceptional.”

“Review after eating multiple times in the last few months: Madhuram is the real deal. If you're craving South Indian food that's both authentic and delicious, look no further. We have been ordering their curry leaves chicken and pepper fry chicken, and both are mind-blowing and consistent in taste. The chicken is always cooked to perfection in both dishes, and the flavors are just incredible. The curry leaves chicken had a unique, fragrant taste that I hadn't experienced before, and the pepper fry chicken had a nice kick that was balanced by the sweetness of the onions and peppers. And let's not forget the egg biryani! This is the real star of the show at least for my kid. The rice. The Malabar Kerala Paratha is the perfect accompaniment, offering a crispy, flaky contrast to the richness of curry leaves chicken. Overall, It is always an amazing experience eating from Madhuram. The food is incredible and the service is great. The staff is friendly and attentive, and they are happy to answer any questions I had about the menu. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves South Indian cuisine. Original review: We ordered food here for the first time when one of our friends recommended this place. We loved their Chicken Leaf Curry, Chicken Pepper Fry, Malabar Parantha and Egg Biryani. They are super tasty.. we probably eat at this place again and repeat the order. The chicken was soft and tender... I am sure it was cooked fresh. The atmosphere was good too when I went to pick the order. Quite a spacious place. Service and hospitality was great too, and the food was well packed too.”

Amaravathi House - Authentic Indian Cuisine Pleasanton

“We had a disappointing experience dining at Amaravathi House. The food quality and minimal service experience are key considerations for this review. The sweet corn chicken soup had no taste and shouldn’t be on the menu. Starters - the chicken 65 was likely stale and was served after reheating, likely in a microwave. There was no crispiness! The other chef special, karampodi Kodi, tasted better and was not freshly cooked either. We tried the Chettinad Chicken with fire and garlic naan. The bread tasted better than the dish, which is unfortunate as we were looking to some tasty curries and were left disappointed. Service is no good either, it almost felt like customers aren’t coming to dine anymore at this place.”

Delhi Diner

1373 Solano Ave, Albany, CA 94706, United States

“The food is good. The spicy calibration is set a little lower than what I'm accustomed to in the South Bay. The "hot" spicy level here equates to a South Bay "mild to medium". Recommend you give it a try. 😁”

Chandni Restaurant
3.8
( 8 reviews ) $$

5748 Mowry School Rd, Newark, CA 94560, United States

“I recently attended a fundraiser at Chandini restaurant's banquet hall. The venue was impressively clean and well-lit, creating a pleasant ambiance. However, I must admit that the food was rather average. It didn't quite live up to the promising atmosphere. The chai was disappointingly weak, resembling more like water. While the setting and service were great, I hope they can elevate the culinary experience.”

Pizza Amigos

5000 Adeline St, Emeryville, CA 94608, United States

“They used to be only 3-4 stars in my book, but recently quadrupled the size of their menu and really got their speed and level of service up to par. Bonus points for being the only place to get food after ~10-11pm.”
